Fantastic Cat

Fantastic Cat brings a collaborative show as four acclaimed singer songwriters trade lead vocals and switch instruments from song to song. The group first drew wide attention with its debut, The Very Best of Fantastic Cat, leading to national TV exposure, sold out headlining runs across the US and Europe, a stop at the Sundance Film Festival, and a song placement in the Paramount+ series Tulsa King. The follow up, Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat, features a guest appearance from Adam Duritz of Counting Crows, brought tour dates with Dawes and Lucius, and earned praise from outlets such as Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, and WFUV. Learn to Knit - Sundays in April

Build confidence with a beginner knitting class that covers the essentials and more. No prior experience is required. Patterns and printed handouts are supplied in class, and a stitch marker is included. Please bring 100 g of yarn in a worsted weight or heavier, with suggested options such as Malabrigo Rios or Malabrigo Seis Cabos. A 16 inch circular needle is needed in the size indicated on the yarn label. Participants work through skills including casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, reading patterns, choosing suitable yarn, understanding gauge and sizing, identifying and correcting mistakes, weaving in ends, increasing, decreasing, and knitting a simple cable. Remarkable! - Neenah Education & Input Session

The My Housing Voice session brings caregivers, advocates, supporters, family members, and self-advocates together to explore ways people with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities can live well in their communities. An active housing search is not required to participate. A light boxed meal is included, and pre-registration is required for dietary needs. The program is divided into two parts. First, participants learn about housing models, features, and supports that can help adults with A/I/DD succeed in the community. Second, they complete a detailed survey to share their housing preferences. There will be time for questions and opportunities to connect with others who care about inclusive housing. Participants are encouraged to bring a tablet, iPad, laptop, or smartphone for the survey. By sharing housing goals, attendees help expand living options for people with A/I/DD in Wisconsin.

Chords & Coffee

Chords & Coffee is a casual drop-in meetup where local musicians connect in an easygoing setting. Attendees can meet other players, talk about music, swap songs, and enjoy a welcoming space centered on creativity. There is no registration or check-in, and staying for the entire session is not required. Bring an instrument if you wish, or simply come to listen. Some gatherings include open mic moments, storytelling, or relaxed jamming, while others focus on conversation with instruments nearby. The schedule is flexible and can continue a bit longer when the crowd and staff are up for it. The organizers are also building a small collection of string instruments for the bookbar and welcome donations of gently used guitars, ukuleles, violins, mandolins, and similar instruments to give them a second life. Themes rotate through the year, including Live Music in February, Storytelling in March, Open Mic in April and May, summer social hangouts from June through August with BYOI, Mile in Review in September, a Halloween theme in October with costumes, a Cash and Willie sing along in November, and a Christmas sing along in December.

This weekly drawing class for adults is led by Jared Weber, a professional artist and tattooist known for the Tardigrade’s Bookshelf logo. With extensive teaching experience, he blends structure with flexibility to focus on fundamentals such as line, form, value, and composition. Participants refine how they look at subjects and learn to make intentional choices in their artwork. It suits anyone reopening an old sketchbook, pushing through a plateau, or building a steady creative routine. Faces of Literacy – Voices from the Community

Faces of Literacy is an annual fundraiser that celebrates and advances the Fox Valley Literacy mission. The program includes a keynote address by Greg Vandenberg of U.S. Venture, food from Heirloom Kitchen, a raffle, and a silent auction. It also features the live debuts of three original songs with support from Mile of Music musicians PEGASIS, Tyler Sj., and Ross Catterton. Through an immersive blend of music and storytelling, attendees hear directly from people whose lives have been changed by the organization’s literacy programs. All fees from the event go toward supporting and delivering the Fox Valley Literacy mission.

Riftbound Nexus Nights brings a weekly constructed tournament to The Game Capital, offering a friendly space to connect with other players and collect promo rewards. Entry is free, and registration happens on the day of the event with capacity capped at 16 players. The event uses Swiss pairings with single-game rounds, running three rounds or four if there are nine to sixteen players. There is no top cut into single elimination. Every participant receives one Promo Pack. With 4-8 players, a 3-0 record earns two Nexus Night Packs and two wins earn one Nexus Night Pack. Board gaming happens every week at Slick Mimic's, and participants connect on Discord to discuss and choose which games to play.

An evening of lyrical hip hop, spoken word, and live-looped beatboxing features two distinct sets. Carnage the Executioner opens with a fearless fusion of jazz-like improvisation, classic hip hop precision, and rock-charged energy, built live through looping and human beatbox. Also known as Terrell X, he pairs deep rhythmic storytelling with confident delivery and participatory choruses. The program then shifts to Cujo the Poet, whose blend of hip hop and spoken word reaches for the heart, inviting deeper listening, self-examination, and a smile at personal imperfections. Tickets are $12 in advance and $17 on the day.

Cousins Maine Lobster brings its food truck to The Spot on Main in Menasha, serving lobster favorites in downtown Menasha. It is suitable for a quick lunch break or a convenient dinner stop. Participants revisit Strategy and Authority, then move into the Nine Centers to consider how defined and open energy can influence patterns, sensitivities, and relationships. A brief Pilates segment focuses on the muscles that support whole-body balance, and the experience winds down with a soothing relaxation. This class welcomes all ability levels. Hosted at Janet Berry Elementary by the Appleton Area School District Special Education Department in partnership with the Fox Valley Food Truck Association, this second annual food truck rally raises support for inclusive playgrounds throughout AASD elementary schools. Savor offerings from Luigi’s Pizza & Pasta, Osorio’s Latin Fusion, Kona Ice, Asian Haven Co., Legendairy Cookies & Creamery, and On The Fritz Concessions. Registration is encouraged to help reduce wait times, and walk-ins are welcome. Junk In The Trunk - PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR VENDORS!

Open to the public to shop, this event invites browsing while registered vendors offer items from compact, vehicle-based spaces. Vendors must pre-register and be at least 18 years old. Vendors are placed as they arrive and must be in their designated spot before shopping begins. Each booth consists of two standard parking spaces, with the vehicle in one and additional items in the other, and everything must fit within those boundaries. Oversized vehicles and trailers are not permitted. For pedestrian safety, once parked, vehicles must remain in place for the duration of the event. Selling or distributing food or drink, including samples, is not allowed, and there is no access to electrical outlets. Vendors are responsible for their own garbage and must take any unsold items with them. Onsite dumpsters are for customer and staff use only. To register as a vendor, contact the City of Neenah Parks & Recreation office. If there is inclement weather, the event will be canceled and an attempt will be made to reschedule.

ASFV Walking for You and Me

This community walk at Riverside Park begins with on-site check-in, where participants receive numbered bracelets for the raffles. The route follows the park’s paved path, and walkers can choose to complete one, two, or three laps at a comfortable pace. After the walk, spend time with friends and family over lunch. Kids can enjoy bounce houses, a balloon artist, face painting, and music from a live DJ, while attendees visit resource tables or take part in bucket raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Raffles close later in the event, winning numbers are announced, the 50/50 winner is selected, and prizes are available for pickup. Lunch is included with registration and features a choice of one hot dog or one hamburger, plus a bag of chips and a bottle of water.

A-Town Unplugged kicks off the Riverside Bar & Grill Patio Concert Series!

A-Town Unplugged kicks off the Patio Concert Series on the Riverside Bar and Grill patio stage. This acoustic cover band from the Fox Valley delivers rich three part harmonies, detailed acoustic guitar interplay, and an energetic rhythm section for a feel good sound that stretches across eras and styles. The group has played festivals such as Electric City Experience, License to Cruise, Rock the Dock Green Bay, All Bands on Deck, Rock Cancer, and Paperfest, as well as weddings, private parties, corporate events, taverns, wineries, and taprooms throughout the state and beyond. They are the official house band for Appleton Curling Club, Menasha Marina, Cliff Runner 10K, and The Crystal Ballroom. The lineup grew from an acoustic duo formed in 1999 by guitarists and vocalists Marty Paschke and Rod Zimmerman, expanded with Eric Krueger in 2004 when the A-Town Unplugged name was adopted in tribute to a weekly showcase at the Maritime Tavern in Appleton, added Jim Van Hout on bass and Pat Wydeven on drums in 2005, and welcomed Jeremy "the Sparrow" Rechner on bass in 2013. Depending on the event, performances range from duo to full five piece.

WIR Spring Classic & TUNDRA Super Late Models

The Spring Classic at Wisconsin International Raceway packs in family-friendly motorsports and off-track fun. Sit Kitty Sit formed in 2010 when Kat Downs and Mike Thompson, veterans of the San Francisco music scene, paired classical piano with rock drumming. Performing as a two piece with no guitar, they deliver tightly executed, high energy sets that weave dramatic classical influences like Beethoven and Rachmaninoff with the spirit and lyricism of bands such as Led Zeppelin and Rush. Glass Studio Class: Garden Yard Art 5/19

Create a vibrant accent for your outdoor space in this hands-on glass studio class. Participants design a glass piece that is then fused in a kiln. After firing, a metal rod is attached so the finished artwork can be displayed in a potted plant, the garden, or the yard. Open to all experience levels and led by instructor Taylor Moeller-Roy.

Cookbook Book Club: Southeast Asian

A friendly cookbook club welcomes home cooks to explore new recipes, share tasting samples if they wish, and talk about their kitchen adventures. This session focuses on Southeast Asian cuisine. Look for the display on the Lucky Day Shelf or browse the stacks to find a cookbook that fits the theme, try a few dishes, and bring a small sample of a favorite if you would like. Bringing food is optional, and sampling is open to everyone. Recipes do not have to come from a cookbook dedicated to the theme, they can be from themed sections of broader cookbooks or even a beloved family recipe. There is no formal review, just an easygoing conversation aimed at building skills and expanding recipe collections. Outlets will be available when possible for slow cookers or similar devices. The gathering lasts about an hour and does not require advance registration. Everyone is welcome. Explore local Indigenous, pioneer, and city heritage by collecting stamps at six museums. Visit Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass, Bridge Tower Museum, Doty Cabin Museum, Hiram Smith Octagon House, Menasha Historical Society, and R. Harder Gallery of Gems & Minerals (Jewelers Mutual Group). Start by picking up a passport at any participating museum or by downloading one. Each stop earns a stamp along with a free 3 inch sticker, and collecting stamps from at least four museums qualifies you for the grand prize drawing. At Wisconsin International Raceway, a milestone salute to six decades of drag racing spotlights period-correct machines from 1974 and earlier. The program brings together a vintage drag meet, a swap meet packed with parts and memorabilia, and a car show featuring survivor cars, customs, hot rods, restorations, and more. On track, open runs and heads-up matchups welcome vehicles 1974 and older that clear general tech inspection. Helmets and long pants are required, and entry to race is $35 per car and driver. Spectator admission is $15 and includes access to the pits, with children 12 and under admitted free with a paid adult. Rustic camping without hookups is available for $20. Car show entries do not pay beyond the spectator fee and are entered into a door prize drawing. Swap meet vendors also participate with no additional cost beyond spectator admission. Expect the soundtrack of carbureted engines, gleaming chrome, and a community dedicated to vintage automotive culture. A test and tune session is open to any vehicles that pass tech for $30 per car and driver.

The Diligent Needle - Basic Embroidery

Explore basic embroidery through a three-part series held once each month, with each session introducing new stitches that build a "Bouquet of Flowers" design on linen.
