Some attend because a spouse or partner struggles with alcoholism, while for others it is a parent, child, grandchild, sibling, or another friend or relative. Many have more than one affected family member or friend. Newcomers often seek stories that resemble their own, and over time they learn that hearing how Al-Anon principles are applied in many different situations can be just as valuable.

LUFC presents a five-day STARS Soccer Skills Camp designed for children from 4K through 6th grade. The camp welcomes beginners, offers a strong challenge for experienced players, and keeps the experience fun for everyone. Enjoy a free concert as Thunderstruck, America’s AC/DC tribute, brings an electric, crowd-stirring performance to The Wharf Manitowoc. The show focuses on authenticity and energy, pairing precision playing with the familiar roar fans love. Kyle LaPato channels the spirit and lead guitar fireworks of Angus Young from the 80s and 90s, Bobby Lee Stamper spans the vocal grit of Bon Scott and the rasp of Brian Johnson, and the rhythm section of Kevin Feller on rhythm guitar, Corey Baetz on drums, and Chris Jones on bass drives a faithful, full-throttle sound. Since officially forming in 2015, Thunderstruck has toured widely with a strong run of sellouts, worked with major promoters and venues such as Live Nation and House of Blues, appeared at festivals including Pensacola Tribute Fest and Parr Fest, and delivered livestream performances for brands like Number Juan Tequila and Monsters of Rock. They are also the only AC/DC tribute act in the United States with a major national brand sponsor, Number Juan Tequila, owned and operated by Alex Reymundo and Ron White. Admission is free. An advanced chunky knit blanket workshop is set at The Nook in the Manitowoc and Two Rivers area, designed exclusively for people who have previously taken a workshop with the instructor. The setting offers bright lighting, a calm environment for creating, and a food and drink menu. Attendance is capped at eight to allow for one-on-one instruction. Participants will make larger lap-size blankets, and each registration includes eight skeins of yarn. The session provides about four hours of instruction, though many will need less. Color choice emails will be sent roughly four weeks before the workshop. Patience is important since everyone will be working on different projects and taking turns for individualized help. It is preferred that attendees feel mostly comfortable working on their own and with the side loop, with guidance available for starting, ending, and color changes. Those who struggle with waiting may consider a private workshop. Ten design options are available with varying details and pricing. Choices include Large Lap Basic Knit in up to three colors at $110, Fall Rainbow at $120 with thin off white stripes between six colors, Neon Rainbow at $120 with thin white stripes between six neon shades, and Watermelon at $120 that requires a tighter knit for the seeds. Mini Hearts Stripes at $130 allows up to three colors, and Mini Hearts Random at $130 allows up to two colors, and both require a tighter knit for the hearts. Single color texture options include Herringbone at $130, Broken Herringbone at $130, Seed Stitch at $130, and Broken Rib Stitch at $130. Most designs use about eight skeins and finish around 52 by 50 inches, with herringbone patterns around 50 by 48 inches. Final dimensions vary based on loop size and tension.

Two Rivers Community Band presents “Highlights of 2026” at the Schmitt Brothers Stage in Central Park West in Downtown Two Rivers. This free outdoor concert brings together powerful performances and familiar favorites to celebrate the year’s standout moments in music. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and friends. Weather updates will be shared on the TR Parks and Recreation Facebook page, and if it rains the performance will move indoors to the J.E. Hamilton Community House Gymnasium. Support for the concert series is provided by Friends of the Two Rivers Senior Center as the major sponsor and Community First Credit Union as the corporate sponsor.

A 75-minute restorative beach practice unfolds on the sands of Neshotah Beach, blending long-held Yin postures, meditation, and mindful breath with live sound. Crystal singing bowls offer harmonizing tones, an ocean drum echoes the movement of the water and shifting emotions, and a hand drum provides a steady, grounding pulse. Aligned with the early waxing crescent of the lunar cycle, the experience invites quiet intention, gentle beginnings, and space to plant new seeds with care and clarity. With the shoreline beside you and open sky overhead, the setting supports reflection and soft forward momentum. The session encourages releasing what feels heavy, reconnecting with what feels true, and attuning to what is ready to grow. Please bring a yoga mat, water, and any comfort items such as a blanket, bolster, or pillow suitable for the sand. Cost is $33 and space is limited. Refunds are available up to three days before the event, minus any service or processing fees.

Braun Building Center and Community First Credit Union present a performance of music by The Doors from The Droors, with special guest The Horns of Perception. The Droors are a five-piece tribute from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, formed in 2014 by dedicated fans who have played together on and off for more than twenty years. What began as a side project grew into an act with a strong following, recognized for recreating The Doors’ sound while adding its own character. This year the group is joined by The Horns of Perception, a three-piece horn section that brings deeper textures, fresh melodies, and more featured soloists to songs listeners know well. The show appeals to fans of classic rock, psychedelic rock, jazz, and blues.

A tropical cookie decorating class at The Nook offers a sunny, summer-themed escape filled with creative fun. Participants decorate six sugar cookies inspired by flamingos, popsicles, sunscreen, pool floats, and other warm-weather designs. The session provides step-by-step instruction and guided decorating while teaching royal icing essentials such as outlining, flooding, piping, and adding decorative details. All materials are supplied, including cookies, icing, tools, and packaging, and everyone takes home all six finished treats. A calm, sensory-considerate evening invites visitors of any age or ability, along with caregivers and families, to explore the Wisconsin Maritime Museum at a comfortable pace. This free event includes access to the museum and a sensory-friendly tour of the submarine USS COBIA. Exhibit sounds will be lowered to create a more relaxed setting, and Sensory Backpacks will be available to borrow. Each backpack includes visual schedules, weighted lap blankets, social narratives, headphones, fidgets, and a communication book. These resources can also be checked out for use during any museum visit, supporting inclusive connections with Wisconsin’s waterways.

Celebrate the Summer Sizzle with the return of a popular adult program at MPL, a cookie decorating class presented by Fern & Flour, a local gourmet bakery. Owner Stephanie Fulton will teach a variety of royal icing piping techniques and guide participants in creating six finished cookie designs. Please bring a container so you can safely transport your treats home from MPL. Advance registration is required and capacity is very limited. Participants must be 18 or older.
