Fish Fry Fridays

Savor Fish Fry Fridays at Oshkosh Arena’s 1212 Sports Pub & Grill, with the entrance on the northeast corner. The menu highlights three fish choices at $15.95 each, featuring lake perch, bluegill, and Southern-style catfish. Every dinner comes with a choice of crispy fries or steak fries, plus cheddarhead biscuits and rye bread, coleslaw, and homemade tartar sauce. Look for a rotating seafood special each week, along with a double-bubble offer that gives two-for-one domestic draft beer and rail mixers. New this season are cheddarhead biscuits, Bavarian pretzel bites, and mozzarella sticks. A kid-friendly lineup for ages 12 and under includes grilled cheese, corndogs, chicken tenders, and a cheese quesadilla, and each kids entrée includes fries and a soda for $8. Guests can dine indoors or relax on the dog-friendly patio. The same night also brings Round 2 of the second annual Oshkosh’s Funniest Comedian in the arena bowl, where stand-up performers compete for a spot in the finale and the audience vote makes up 40 percent of the preliminary result. This round features 10 comedians.

Workshops & Classes

Parent🩷 Child art class ~ Hopscotch Cats

Bring creativity to life in a parent and child art class that blends painting and sculpture with a playful theme. Work together to design a bright hopscotch-style board game on an 11x14 canvas, then each person will craft a tiny cat figure to go with it. A wide range of mixed media materials will be available for layering, decorating, and personalizing your pieces. Registration covers one adult and one child, and grandparents are welcome to pair up with grandchildren as well. Wear clothing that can get a little messy. Caregivers can decide if their child is ready to focus on painting for about an hour and a half while being gentle with the adoptable cats sharing the space. The class takes place in the Puuurk Club, the back room at Planet Perk, where the cats will be roaming as you create. Parking is available in the main lot in front of Planet Perk.

Power In the Pause; Mindful Sound Meditation for the Busy Mind

Settle into a mindful sound meditation created for busy minds that have trouble slowing down. Whether you are brand new, return to meditation from time to time, or already have a steady practice, this class meets you where you are and invites a new way of relating to your thoughts instead of trying to silence them. Simple, accessible tools help you notice the pause between thought and action, opening up more choice in everyday moments. This is a semi‑interactive experience. It begins with an optional essential oil on the wrists to cue relaxation, includes brief check‑ins at the start and finish to ground and connect, and offers three short practices you can carry into daily life. Participants then rest in a lying position while a crystal pyramid is moved over the body and guided breathwork supports regulation, followed by a full‑body meditation with crystal singing bowls and gentle voice guidance that encourages the body to soften and the mind to settle. The session closes with a short reflection to process anything that surfaced. It is especially supportive for anyone who feels overwhelmed by constant thoughts, finds it difficult to slow down, or has avoided stillness because of what arises in the quiet. To support smooth preparation, advance registration is required. The fee is $15, and the sign‑up link is in the event’s about section. Please bring a yoga mat, along with any comforts that help you relax, such as pillows, blankets, or an eye mask. Arriving a little early helps ensure a calm, uninterrupted start.
