1 SPOT LEFT! June 24th - The Tap Yard Waukesha Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop

At the Waukesha location, this outdoor chunky knit blanket workshop offers a relaxed, hands-on way to create a cozy throw using only your hands. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced knitters. Registration includes all materials to complete a blanket during the workshop, a free beer ticket, a blanket bag for your finished piece, and emailed instructions with yarn buying tips for future projects. Participants can choose a looser or tighter knit, so sizes vary. The tightest style produces a blanket around 45 by 42 inches, and many finished pieces end up larger. Pre-registration is required because space is limited and seats are first come, first served. Two pricing options are available. The $65 option allows choosing from the yarn colors brought to the workshop. The $85 option features premium, softer and thicker yarn with many color choices and the ability to preselect one or two colors, with selection coordinated by email about four weeks in advance. Registration for the $85 option closes four weeks prior if not sold out, and the $65 option closes two weeks prior. Multiple dates may be scheduled, so select the correct session when registering. Ages 12 and up can work on a blanket independently. Weather permitting, the workshop is held outdoors and any updates will be sent to the email used at registration. The location is dog-friendly, with all dogs required to be on 6-foot leashes. No carry-ins are permitted. Vehicles using Fox Brook Park, Minooka Park, or Menomonee Park require a daily or annual park entrance permit, and the annual pass is valid at all three Tap Yard Beer Gardens within Waukesha County Parks. Pay within five days to avoid a violation ticket, and note that entrance is not guaranteed when facilities are at capacity or during special events. The entrance booth is not staffed and passes are processed online.

July 29th - The Tap Yard Waukesha Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop

Settle in at the Waukesha location for an outdoor, hands-on chunky knit blanket workshop where participants create a cozy blanket using only their hands. All materials are provided, and registration includes a free beer ticket, a take-home blanket bag for your finished piece, and emailed instructions with yarn buying tips for future projects. This format suits beginners and experienced knitters alike. Blanket size varies based on your preferred style, with very tight knitting yielding about 45 by 42 and looser knits typically resulting in larger pieces. Pre registration is required, seating is limited to 16 on a first come, first served basis, and ages 12 and up may work independently. Two pricing options are available. The $65 option lets you choose from yarn colors brought to the workshop. The $85 option allows you to preselect one or two colors in a premium, softer, thicker yarn with many choices, and you will receive an email about four weeks before the workshop to finalize your selection. The $85 option closes four weeks before the workshop if not sold out, and the $65 option closes two weeks before if not sold out. This is a dog friendly setting, and all dogs must remain on six foot leashes. No carry-ins are permitted. In case of inclement weather, updates will be sent to the email used at registration. A daily or annual park entrance pass is required for vehicles using Fox Brook Park, Minooka Park, or Menomonee Park, and the annual pass covers all three Tap Yard beer gardens within Waukesha County Parks. Pay within five days of your visit to avoid a violation ticket. Entry is not guaranteed when facilities reach capacity or for special events, and the entrance booth is not staffed so all passes are handled online.
