Peace 4 Peacekeepers Launch Party

Peace 4 Peacekeepers marks its official launch with a warm, community-centered gathering at Art Bar in Morgantown. The nonprofit focuses on widening access to trauma-informed therapeutic support for people who serve others. Attendees can look forward to a welcoming setting, time to connect with others in the community, a silent auction featuring items from local partners, and an opportunity to purchase Peace 4 Peacekeepers merchandise. Information about the mission and ways to get involved will be available. Live music follows at the venue. All net proceeds benefit Peace 4 Peacekeepers and help extend access to trauma-informed care. Everyone is welcome, including veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, supporters, and anyone who values mental health and healing.

Cub Scout Sign Up Night (Pack 52 and Pack 60)

Parents of children in kindergarten through fifth grade can learn what Cub Scouting offers at a dedicated sign up night. The session explains how Scouting helps boys and girls grow into self-reliant, dependable, and caring individuals by emphasizing the Scout Oath and Law and working alongside home, school, and religious organizations. Program highlights include academic enrichment, career awareness, leadership development, first aid, swimming, outdoor skills, hiking, camping, knot tying, and computer-based research. The focus is character building, confidence, pride in achievement, and fun through hands-on learning. Guidance will be available to help families find a unit that fits their needs and to complete registration. This Scouting America recruitment effort is sponsored by WVU Medicine Children’s.

Women’s “Art Appreciation” Ride

This relaxed women’s group ride highlights public art along the rail trail. Expect a social pace with frequent stops and many group photos while exploring artworks around town. Participants meet near the amphitheater at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and set off on a low key start to the Women’s Rides for 2026, taking time to enjoy creative pieces that brighten the route. The ride also recognizes the efforts of local artists and entities who have helped beautify the community’s hard working trail system.
