Sharpen infield play at an elite softball camp in Nitro, West Virginia. Over two days, participants focus on development and learning with instruction from Trent Mongero and DirtBro, designed to help athletes elevate their skills.

The Charleston Heart Walk returns to GoMart Ballpark for a family friendly community celebration that honors local survivors and supports the ongoing work of the American Heart Association. Families, friends, and even pets are welcome. Activities include a Kids Zone, a new Wellness Area, CPR demonstrations, and more to explore throughout the venue. The focus is on raising awareness and advancing lifesaving efforts for people of all ages across the region. Sponsors include Vandalia Health, MRC Global, Encova, The Health Plan, Aetna Medical Solutions, and WVU Medicine Thomas Hospital, with media support from WCHS/WVAH and LM Communications, including 100.9 The Mix and Rock 105.

Two days of racing bring three divisions of Soap Box Derby competition to Little Creek Park. The first day features one double and one single race, followed by one double on the second day. Registration will take place during short check-in windows each day before racing begins. Entry is $25 per race, per racer, or $75 for the full weekend. Payment is cash only and checks are not accepted. An arrangement is being made with Sleep Inn & MainStay Suites in Teays Valley to serve as the host hotel for Soap Box Derby races at Little Creek Park. Mention Soap Box Derby when reserving by phone at (304.397.3200). Racers who stay at the host hotel are eligible to be entered into a drawing for one free race entry, valued up to $75. Players gather for a weekly Pokémon Trading Card Game tournament on Saturdays. The entry fee is $5, and one booster pack is added to the prize pool for each participant. Everyone receives a promo pack, and top finishers take home additional booster and promo packs.
