Week in the Woods
Week in the Woods brings people of different ages together for an immersive experience in the boreal forests of Alaska's Interior, offering a one of a kind Alaskan adventure. The focus is on being in the forest together across generations.
The Folk SchoolBling Your Bookends!
Designed for ages 9 to 11, this Blue Zone workshop in the Active Learning Lab at the Noel Wien Library teaches decoupage and turns plain bookends into personalized shelf accents. Participants will decorate and take home a pair of bookends, and all supplies are included. Doors open shortly before the program begins. Unregistered participants may be admitted if space allows, and because the activity is taught step by step, late arrivals may lose the opportunity to participate. This program is for Summer Reading Program participants, and registration for that program is available at the Noel Wien Library, the North Pole Branch, or the Bookmobile.
