Dance Adventure Camp (Session 4)

Designed for children ages 5 to 8, this Dance Adventure Camp at North Star Ballet Studios invites young movers to journey to a new imaginative destination each day, with themes like outer space, the jungle, and the land of make believe. Campers explore foundational dance ideas such as shape, level, size, and energy while beginning to learn ballet vocabulary. Creative expression is encouraged through arts and crafts, and the week focuses on the joy of moving and making new discoveries through dance. No prior dance experience is required. Families can expect a day that flows from a creative dance class to story time and a snack, followed by craft projects, lively dance games, and a calm cool down with reflection. Drop off and pick up take place inside the studio, and caregivers sign campers in and out. Comfortable, movable clothing is recommended. Leggings, T-shirts, sweats, shorts, leotards, tights, ballet shoes, socks, or bare feet all work well. Activities may go outside when the weather allows, so include sneakers and a light jacket. Long hair should be secured away from the face in a ponytail, braids, a bun, or a similar style. Please label all belongings. Pack a jacket, a water bottle, plenty of snacks, ballet slippers if available, sturdy walking shoes or sneakers, and weather essentials such as sunscreen, bug spray, and rain gear. This session can be paired with Fairy Tale Dance Camp Session 2 to create a full day option for children ages 6 and older.
