Pocket Community TheatreLakeside Jazz Band Concert at the Garland County Library
A live jazz concert featuring the Lakeside High School Jazz Band at the Garland County Library. Under the direction of Mr. and Dr. McCraney, the ensemble highlights a year that saw ten junior high members named or selected as alternates for the Junior High All-Region Jazz Band and nine students named to the Senior High All-Region Jazz Band. The McCraneys are active as adjudicators and honor band clinicians across Arkansas and Texas, and Mr. McCraney was recognized in July 2025 as Arkansas Bandmaster of the Year. The performance showcases the achievements and musicianship of these student performers.

This behind the scenes guided tour explores the Lamar’s collection of historical bathhouse artifacts. The tour is led by Park Archivist Tom Hill. Participants meet at the Bathhouse Emporium gift shop before it begins.
