Compete in a Modern format tournament at Game Goblins in Little Rock. Matches are organized as multiple Swiss rounds, with a playoff top cut if turnout warrants it. Certified judges and store staff support the event, and the Rules Enforcement Level is Casual. Bring a Modern legal deck, be familiar with current Modern rules and procedures used at Competitive REL, and be prepared for several rounds with a chance to advance to the cut. Entry is 10 dollars, and players who reach the top cut earn a full store credit payout.
Establishing the Self: Group Therapy
An in-person psychotherapy group in Little Rock helps participants build a steadier sense of self in relationships. Using an experiential approach grounded in AEDP, attachment theory, and the work of Pia Mellody, the group supports people in recognizing and changing codependent patterns, expanding emotional awareness, and strengthening boundaries. Members practice feeling and expressing emotions, using I statements, reflecting on relationship dynamics, and forming authentic connection in a supportive clinical setting. Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off
Safely clear out household hazardous materials through a coupon-based drop-off. To participate, purchase a $10 coupon at the Recycle Saline office and bring a driver’s license or state ID that shows a current Saline County address. If the address on the ID is not current, a recent bill with the correct address will work. The person who picked up the coupon must be present when dropping off items at the CTS Facility. Each coupon covers one load of approved materials, households may purchase up to four coupons per year, and coupons are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be used in future years. Accepted with a coupon are paint and paint thinners, oil or water based, up to 5 gallons per vehicle, oil or fuel up to 5 gallons per coupon, antifreeze up to 5 gallons per coupon, pool chemicals, household cleaning chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, automobile cleaning supplies, and aerosol cans. If you bring more than the allowed amounts, the overage will be charged by CTS at $0.60 per pound plus tax. Items not covered by the coupon can still be disposed of for a fee, including small propane cylinders at $3 each, large BBQ propane cylinders at $10 each, and mercury-containing fluorescent bulbs at $0.12 per foot.

3 Hidden Gems2026 Big Dam Bridge 100 Training Program
This training program helps Arkansas cyclists get ready for the annual BDB100 by building skills, confidence, and community while connecting participants with local riders, clubs, and bike shops. For 2026, riders are organized by experience with options geared to the 26 and 50 mile routes. New cyclists can begin in an introductory group, those with some experience and new to group riding can focus on completing the 26 mile course, recreational riders who ride weekly can prepare for the 50 mile goal or aim to improve a 26 mile finish, and seasoned enthusiasts can refine pacing, fueling, and cooperative pace line techniques with readiness for the 50 and the possibility of stretching toward 75. Training rides head out from Murray Park, and the season leads into a dress rehearsal at the Young Life River Classic before the BDB100 main event. Registration costs $50, is limited to the first 120 participants, and requires a minimum age of 12. Support comes from Spokes Bicycle Shop, Phat Tire Bicycle Shops, Shift Modern Cyclery, Mello Velo, and Rev Rock.

Now in its fourth edition, this community ride through Hot Springs welcomes families and cyclists of all experience levels while raising awareness and funds for the Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope to support families in crisis and help break cycles of generational poverty. The experience begins at the Hot Springs Historic Downtown Farmers Market and highlights the city on pavement as well as the nearby mountains on dirt. Riders can choose a 6 mile family route, a 20 mile east route, a 23 mile hilly road course through Hot Springs, a 24 mile mountain bike only option, or a 45 mile combination that blends road and MTB. A shuttle will move bikes at the exchange point for the multi bike option, and support vehicles with aid stations will be available on every route. Registration includes food and drink, a T-shirt, and additional swag, and riders must display their bib number to receive food and to access designated areas. An after party at the Farmers Market features live music, hot dogs and hamburgers served by the Salvation Army Canteen, and family friendly fun, with tickets available for those who are not riding. Medical support will be on site, although comfort medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or Tylenol will not be provided, so participants should bring their own. Hotel Hot Springs offers a discounted rate for cyclists at the start and finish location, with the discount applied when participation in Tour de Salvation is mentioned. Registration will open soon.

H.S.S.C Annual Team Comp
Teams of two take on a three lap trail challenge at Hot Springs Off Road Park, where smart driving lines, clean, scale-accurate recoveries, and solid teamwork make the difference. The field is limited to Modified or Class 2 rigs, and the clock does not pause for repairs made off the course. Two drivers form one team, and the fastest overall time wins. Act of God provisions do not apply. Starts are staggered with no more than three teams on course at a time. When a faster team closes the gap on another, the team ahead yields so momentum and flow are maintained. Run clean, keep things moving, and respect the trail. Park entry is $5. The competition fee is $25 per driver or $50 per team, and the payout is winner take all. Team competition awards are presented at the finish, followed by a season series awards ceremony.

A barrel race at KS Arena features Peewee, Youth, and Open divisions. Added money includes $300 for the Open and $100 for Youth. Exhibitions are available for $5 and are sold with pre entries. Peewee runs first, followed by the Open. Entry fees are $50 for Open, $30 for Youth, and $10 for Peewee. Peewee entries do not include an office fee, while a $10 office fee applies to other divisions. Tractor work is provided by Kevin Steed, photos and video are by Jenny Goodnight, and announcing is by Phillip Dowell. A concession stand will be available. Launching its first year, this annual community market highlights creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurship among children ages 5 to 16. Taking place at American Patriot Guns & Gifts, it gives young people hands-on experience building a business, interacting with customers, and showcasing what they have made, grown, baked, or offer as a service, including small resale ventures. Visitors can explore up to 30 booths with handmade goods, artwork and crafts, distinctive gift items, plants and garden offerings, and homemade food prepared in accordance with the Arkansas Food Freedom Act, all presented by youth-run businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs. Admission is free for attendees, and during the inaugural year there is no participation fee for approved Young Makers. Applications are open for young participants.

Culinary craftsmanship, Southern warmth, and historic charm come together at The Reserve in support of Sunshine Therapeutic Riding Center. Guests can meander the Culinary Promenade to enjoy signature tastings from talented local chefs while taking in the ambiance of one of Arkansas’ notable historic estates. Throughout the evening, attendees may purchase Golden Horse Votes that benefit the Horsemanship Fund, which offers scholarships for qualifying children and adults receiving equine assisted therapy. These votes decide the Golden Horse Awards for Best Entrée and Best Dessert, presented prior to the live auction. All materials should be clean and sorted into the appropriate labeled containers. Upon arrival, use the first gate around the back on the left. Saturday service does not take place in July.

The inaugural Birding Festival of the South, presented by Oaklawn, brings bird lovers together in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The house features tall ceilings, chandeliers, spacious light-filled rooms, six bedrooms, two bathrooms, and eight total beds with a mix of king, queen, and single options. Bed sharing is available for those attending with a partner, and actual bed assignments may result in having a bed to oneself depending on overall registration. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended since trails begin near the home, and it is possible to encounter natural springs or small waterfalls while exploring. Most meals are provided with vegan and gluten-free options. An optional group dinner is planned at 501 Prime at each attendee’s expense, and there is flexibility to enjoy leftovers or choose another dining spot. A non-refundable yet transferable deposit of $249 secures a spot. The individual rate for a solo bed is $1,420, with a remaining balance of $1,171 invoiced after the deposit. Those sharing a king or queen bed with a partner save $108 each, for a rate of $1,312 per person. Each person in a pair pays the $249 deposit and is invoiced for a $1,063 balance. Activities center on Cedar Glades Hilltop and Downtown 420 Eats, with pre-ride opportunities, OTC check-in and start, and packet pickup for both Gudrun and Attila. Downtown 420 Eats hosts check-in for the Slow Roll, a pre-ride briefing, a roll out, and a kickoff celebration. Racing highlights include the Attila cross-country event, Dual Slalom, Full and Mini Enduro options, a Strider race, and a W & C time trial, followed by awards for Attila the Hun alongside AMBCS and a closing awards ceremony. Safely dispose of household hazardous materials through a simple coupon program. Purchase a $10 coupon at the Recycle Saline office. Bring a Driver’s License or state ID that shows a current Saline County address, or present a current bill with your address if the ID does not reflect it. The person who obtained the coupon must be present at drop-off at the CTS Facility, where the coupon is redeemed along with the materials. Each coupon covers one load, and households may buy up to four coupons per year. Coupons are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be carried over to future years. Approved items with a coupon include oil or water based paint and paint thinners, limited to 5 gallons per vehicle, oil or fuel up to 5 gallons per coupon, antifreeze up to 5 gallons per coupon, pool chemicals, household cleaning chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, automobile cleaning supplies, and aerosol cans. Quantities above these limits are the responsibility of the individual and are billed by CTS at $0.60 per pound plus tax at the time of disposal. Items not covered by the coupon may still be dropped off for a fee, including small propane cylinders at $3 each, large BBQ propane cylinders at $10 each, and mercury containing fluorescent bulbs at $0.12 per foot.

Once a year, doors open for a night when witches, mystics, and other midnight souls gather for elegance, ritual, and celebration. AlchemyXXII presents Year One of The Midnight Society, an immersive Samhain gala where magic hangs in the air, music drifts through the night, and the boundary between worlds grows thin. Expect a guided court dance with a Regency influence, opportunities for tarot and other forms of divination, immersive performances unfolding throughout the evening, a rite at midnight attuned to Samhain energy, and dancing that carries on late. More than a party, it is the convening of the Midnight Society. The dress code centers on occult aristocracy, dark regency, and witch court glamour. Picture velvet and lace, crowns and capes, masks and lavish, witchy refinement. The gathering is planned for downtown Little Rock, with the exact venue to be revealed, and tickets will be released soon.
