All materials should be clean and sorted into the appropriate labeled containers. Upon arrival, use the first gate around the back on the left. Saturday service does not take place in July.

MSJ Offroad marks two decades on the trails with a special 20th Anniversary Fall Run at Hot Springs Off Road Park. The celebration highlights years of wheeling, recoveries, campfire stories, and a tight Mid-South off-road community. The tradition starts the night before with an informal meet-up at 420 Eats Food Truck Court, and some participants arrive early to enjoy extra time on the trails. On the main day, check in at the park, complete waivers and fees, and get rigs ready. A mandatory drivers meeting at the pavilion sets safety expectations and organizes groups, then it is a full day of trail riding with your assigned crew. Pack a cooler with lunch and plenty to drink, since most groups pause midday on the trail. After the rides, the gathering returns to the pavilion to mark the anniversary. The Gudrun Northwoods mountain bike festival returns to Hot Springs, Arkansas in collaboration with the Ozark Foundation, and its enduro is part of the Arkansas Enduro Series. Activities center on Cedar Glades Hilltop and Downtown 420 Eats, with pre-ride opportunities, OTC check-in and start, and packet pickup for both Gudrun and Attila. Downtown 420 Eats hosts check-in for the Slow Roll, a pre-ride briefing, a roll out, and a kickoff celebration. Safely dispose of household hazardous materials through a simple coupon program. Purchase a $10 coupon at the Recycle Saline office. Bring a Driver’s License or state ID that shows a current Saline County address, or present a current bill with your address if the ID does not reflect it. The person who obtained the coupon must be present at drop-off at the CTS Facility, where the coupon is redeemed along with the materials. Each coupon covers one load, and households may buy up to four coupons per year. Coupons are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be carried over to future years. Approved items with a coupon include oil or water based paint and paint thinners, limited to 5 gallons per vehicle, oil or fuel up to 5 gallons per coupon, antifreeze up to 5 gallons per coupon, pool chemicals, household cleaning chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, automobile cleaning supplies, and aerosol cans. Quantities above these limits are the responsibility of the individual and are billed by CTS at $0.60 per pound plus tax at the time of disposal. Items not covered by the coupon may still be dropped off for a fee, including small propane cylinders at $3 each, large BBQ propane cylinders at $10 each, and mercury containing fluorescent bulbs at $0.12 per foot.

A first annual cEDH tournament brings competitive Magic players together under the latest Competitive REL rules. Co-hosted by Steadfast Hobbies and Games with Akash Malhotra, the event features five 80 minute Swiss rounds followed by a cut to the top 16. When time is called, the active player has 20 minutes to complete their turn or the result is a draw, with no additional turn. Scoring awards 5 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. The tournament is fully proxy friendly, and all proxies must use official MTG art. Prizing scales with attendance: if 64 players are reached, the grand prize is an HP Gaea’s Cradle and an LP Volcanic Island will be raffled. If the 64 player cap is not met, the Volcanic Island becomes the grand prize and a signed Jeweled Lotus will be raffled.

Honor those who served with a full weekend of off-road fun at Hot Springs Off-Road Vehicle Park. This annual gathering is the club’s biggest event of the year, blending trail rides with a membership meeting and time to enjoy the crisp fall air. Many participants travel on Thursday, fit in some wheeling, and handle check-in at the office. On Friday and Saturday, drivers arrive, air down, disconnect, and stage in the parking area at the top of the hill rather than by the office. A drivers meeting kicks off each day’s trail runs, there is a break for lunch, and the group heads back out for more trails through the afternoon. Friday evening features a membership meeting and dinner with welcomes, updates, introductions of new board nominees, and raffle prizes. Saturday riding continues until dusk, and many head home on Sunday. Choose your pace by lining up behind the Jeep with the flag color that matches your preferred challenge level. Green identifies the easy group, orange marks the medium or hard group, and red leads the ZED group for the most extreme trails. General communications are on GMRS channel 22. Exhibition on Screen offers a cinematic window into the landmark Raphael retrospective in Rome, created to commemorate 500 years since his passing. With special access to the galleries, the film explores more than two hundred works, from paintings to drawings, with over a hundred brought together for the first time through notable loans from the Louvre, the Uffizi, the National Gallery of Art, the Prado, and other institutions. Directed by Phil Grabsky, it follows Raphael’s life in Rome and features footage of ancient sites that shaped his art, including Nero’s Golden House. Golfers will tee it up at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas for the second annual Veterans Day charity tournament supporting Friends of Fisher House Arkansas.
