    Kick off the Magic The Hobbit prerelease with in store sealed play and product available while supplies last. Three events are planned, each capped at 24 players. Pre registration is offered online or in store, and you may participate in all three events with one entry per person. The entry fee is $39.99 plus tax. Play takes place using the Magic Companion App, and players sign in with event codes 86RJJGZ for the first event, ZQPEE74 for the second, and YENWW52 for the third. Each prerelease kit comes with six Play Boosters from this set. Every booster has 14 cards pulled from HOB 1–248, typically including 1 to 3 rares or higher, 3 to 5 uncommons, 7 to 9 commons, and a land. One card in each booster is a traditional foil of any rarity, a foil borderless rare or mythic can appear in less than 1 percent of boosters, and in about 20 percent of boosters the land is a traditional foil land. Kits also include a traditional foil rare or mythic rare card and a Spindown life counter. The format is a three round sealed event, and players must complete all rounds to receive prizes. Random prizes are awarded during rounds, and anyone who plays through to the end receives two Play Boosters as prizes. Take home kits are only available if events do not sell out.
