Kings County Bowl in Hanford hosts a single women’s tournament run under BBCCC handicap rules. The format is singles with four qualifying games, and the top five competitors advance to a stepladder finals. Payout is 1 in 5. Entry is $80 per bowler, with $20 covering lineage and expenses and $60 going to the prize fund. Printmaking with artist Jim Johnson

Explore the essentials of relief printing in a hands-on woodcut workshop led by artist and instructor Jim Johnson. Learn how to carve a wooden block to create a raised image, then ink and print your design on paper and fabric. Each participant receives a tote bag to customize, and you may bring additional fabric items or clothing to print, with natural fibers working best. All supplies are included. If you want to work from a specific image, instructions are available after signup by email. The workshop welcomes ages 16 and up, is limited to 10 participants, and will proceed with at least one registered attendee. The cost is $65 per person per session.

The Doo Wop Project

A concert by The Doo Wop Project devoted to honoring and evolving classic doo wop. Influenced by pioneering inner city African American groups including The Del Vikings, The Marcels, The Tymes, and later The Four Seasons, they recreate the sound of voices coming together on stoops and in subways. The Table Mountain Concert Series opens with a night of classic rock as Kansas shares the stage with Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, presented by Modelo Especial and Toyota. Ticket prices begin at $45. Kansas, formed in Topeka, has sold more than 30 million albums since its 1974 debut. The group has released 16 studio albums and earned eight gold certifications, with anthems like “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind” becoming staples of rock. Their catalog includes three albums that reached sextuple platinum, and their music spent over 200 weeks on the Billboard charts. The band continues to create and tour, including the 2020 release The Absence of Presence, and has marked milestone anniversaries of its platinum records. Their work has been featured across film, television, and video games. Mickey Thomas rose to prominence as the voice of Starship in the 1980s after breaking through with “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” in 1976 with the Elvin Bishop Band. R&B Night Out with Ashanti & Soul For Real

R&B Night Out is back as part of the 2026 Table Mountain Concert Series, sponsored by Modelo Especial and Toyota, with Ashanti and Soul For Real sharing the bill. Tickets start at $41. Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, actor, and author Ashanti first broke through with a self-titled debut that reached No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and the R&B albums charts, moving more than half a million copies in its first week and earning a Guinness World Record. She has released six studio albums and collected major honors including a Grammy, eight Billboard Music Awards, and two American Music Awards, with hits that have charted across three decades. Soul For Real, the sibling quartet of Jason, Brian, Dre, and Chris Dalyrimple, came up singing in church before signing with Uptown Records. Their 1994 Heavy D produced single Candy Rain topped the U.S. R&B chart and climbed to No. 2 on the pop chart. Monsters of Destruction: Monster Trucks

The rumble of monster trucks returns to The Big Fresno Fair as Monsters of Destruction presents two high-energy Grandstand shows filled with freestyle trick runs, side-by-side racing, soaring jumps, and car-crushing thrills. Featured trucks include Veteran, Double Trouble, Obsessed, Pretty Obsessed, and Anubis, and the lineup may change. General admission on the Grandstand’s second floor is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and under are free when seated on a parent’s lap.
