Riders from the All Clubs Ride and their friends will head out on the usual ACR routes, then gather at Creekside Park for a community potluck supporting Manny Dizon’s treatment. Contributions collected at the lunch go directly to Manny as he continues his fight with pancreatic cancer, including care not covered by insurance after rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. A whole hog generously provided by Hector Mejia will be a centerpiece of the meal, and additional food contributions and ideas are welcome. After the ride there will be time to relax over lunch, visit with Manny, and enjoy activities that include a bicycle raffle with possible extra prizes, a clown-bike criterium on tiny bikes, and friendly yet competitive cornhole games. Food tables and canopies will be set up in the open field between the pickleball courts and the restrooms. Parking may be limited due to pickleball use at the park. Bring a chair and something to share. Cold water will be available, and other beverages may be brought. Participation is at your own risk, follow traffic laws, and ride safely.

MOMS Club of East County’s Annual Trunk or Treat is a family-friendly Halloween afternoon at the Antioch Community Center benefiting Be Exceptional Programs, which provides inclusive and adaptive programs for individuals with disabilities and their families. Attendees can explore decorated trunks, enjoy candy and non-candy treats, visit a petting zoo, take part in sensory-friendly activities, and play children’s games at activity stations. Food vendors will be on site, and there will be voting for crowd-favorite trunks, with more seasonal fun to be announced. Admission is free, and preregistration is encouraged to help plan for attendance, candy, and supplies. Guests can vote for their favorite trunks by making donations, with all voting proceeds supporting Be Exceptional Programs, and prizes will go to the trunks receiving the highest donation totals. The event is seeking businesses, organizations, families, and community groups to host decorated trunks, as well as donations of individually wrapped candy and non-candy treats, volunteers to help with setup, activities, parking, check-in, and cleanup, community sponsors and in-kind donations, and food vendors interested in participating. Trunk hosts are encouraged to create child-friendly themes, carnival-style games, and interactive experiences, and decorations may not include blood, gore, graphic imagery, or realistic weapons. Updates on vendors, volunteer opportunities, attractions, parking, and other details will be shared on the event page. Children must remain under the supervision of their accompanying adult throughout the event.
