Sanjay Sabha Live

At Seaside Center for Spiritual Living, vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyan brings his Sanjay Sabha Live concert series to the stage. Launched in 2021, the series began as full-length digital performances on YouTube created in response to the pandemic to keep Carnatic music accessible to a global audience. Those online concerts quickly drew a dedicated community through musical depth and careful production. Building on that momentum, Sanjay Sabha now appears live in major Indian cities such as Chennai, Bangalore and Coimbatore, and abroad in Singapore and Australia, offering an immersive program of compositions in Tamil, Telugu, Sanskrit, Malayalam and Kannada. In concert, Sanjay is joined by S. Varadarajan on violin and Neyveli Venkatesh on mridangam. Varadarajan’s expressive, accomplished violin work complements the vocals with a nuanced feel for ragas, while Venkatesh’s command of rhythm brings energy and intricate patterns that enhance the music. Flow Tide Sessions

Flow Tide Sessions is a monthly sound bath that invites you to meet what is present, building flexibility for both peaks and valleys rather than chasing constant calm or forced positivity. Settle into a zero gravity chair and let layered sound move around and through you, creating a floating, wave-like sensation that reminds your nervous system it can ride the swells and the stillness. This is a fully immersive experience, not background music. Crystal singing bowls, binaural frequencies, and simple breath cues work with your natural rhythms, honoring the lift and the drop. Gentle somatic prompts help you notice sensation, both comfortable and uncomfortable, and the unhurried pace gives space for whatever needs to shift. It is well suited for anyone tired of staying “on” all the time, athletes and movers who see recovery as nervous system adaptability, and people carrying real stress who want something more honest than toxic positivity. No experience is required, and the environment is designed to support deeper relaxation. Wear comfortable clothing you can lie down in, bring a favorite blanket if you tend to get cold, and bring water. Zero gravity chairs, bolsters, and eye masks are provided. Doors open 15 minutes before the session, and late entry can disturb the immersion. Capacity is limited to four participants to keep the space spacious and contained. This offering is not a substitute for medical care. If you have a pacemaker, sound sensitivity, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy, please check with your provider. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance receive a full refund. Payment is $57 via Venmo at @besachi3 to avoid fees, or register through the link. Girls Gone Rx SOCAL

At Oceanside Crossfit, Girls Gone Rx marks 14 years of women pushing limits together with a partner-based competition built on encouragement and camaraderie. The focus is connection over rankings, with challenging workouts, big energy, and support throughout the day. This event benefits Compete for a Cure, a breast cancer charity, and each team can create a fundraising page that contributes to the overall score, so performance and philanthropy both count. Teams will tackle four partner workouts across two divisions. The RX division is designed for experienced athletes who complete workouts without scaling, are proficient with pull-ups, double unders, and handstand push-ups, feel confident with a barbell, and can perform full squat snatches and/or full squat cleans at or above 95 pounds. The BAM division (Badass in the Making) welcomes newer competitors and those newer to functional fitness, includes scaling and modifications in most workouts, supports athletes who are new to Olympic lifting, and suits a first or second competition. A referral perk is available after registration. Each team receives a unique link, and if four teams sign up using that link, the referring team competes for free.

Música en la Plaza: Sonido De La Frontera

Cumbia meets soundsystem culture and hip hop production in a border-born project that delivers bass-heavy, dance-focused rhythms shaped by the musical conversation between San Diego and Tijuana. The trio, Sonido De La Frontera, features vocalist Karlos Paez, producer Mr. Henshaw, and DJ Unite. Paez, also recognized for his work with The B-Side Players, brings driving vocals and lyrics that invite dancers to move while carrying themes of culture and defiance. Mr. Henshaw, a First Power Crew producer known for break records aimed at turntablists, favors a dark, weighty approach built on big drums and deep bass, a style reflected in projects like Planet B and Satanic Planet. DJ Unite, a veteran of Tribe of Kings Soundsystem and First Power Crew, keeps the energy high with wide-ranging selections drawn from many genres. The result is cumbia filtered through hip hop and electronic production, a blend that reflects the diverse soundscape of southern California. Yoga of Recovery with Durga Leela

Yoga of Recovery offers an in depth training that weaves Ayurveda and Yoga with established recovery tools to support healing from addictions, eating disorders, and other self sabotaging patterns. Western perspectives such as neuroscience and the 12 Steps are brought together with Eastern practices to create a whole person path for mind, body, and spirit. Attend in person, watch live online, or learn by recording. By the end of the course, participants gain practical ways to bring Ayurvedic and yogic healing into their own lives and into the work they do with students and clients. Graduates are positioned to teach yoga in rehabilitation settings or to people in recovery from any addiction, and they are prepared to identify root causes and outline a holistic plan of care. Topics include the six foundational tenets that illuminate addictive tendencies, holistic views on the origins of disease, and moving from feeling stuck to stability through understanding the gunas. Training explores simple sense based techniques for emotional regulation, Bhakti Yoga to ease loneliness and emotional upheaval, and Karma Yoga as love in action. It also looks at the ripple effects of sustained self care, how behavioral health care guidance from Yoga and Ayurveda supports evolutionary change, and ways to lead community conversations about challenges and solutions. Tuition is $1000.
