Flow Tide Sessions

This monthly sound bath invites you to meet what is truly present, building flexibility for both highs and lows instead of chasing constant calm or forced positivity. Participants recline in zero gravity chairs as layered tones surround the body, creating a buoyant, waterlike feeling that reminds the nervous system it can move with both the swell and the stillness. The experience is immersive rather than background music, weaving crystal singing bowls, binaural frequencies, and gentle breath prompts that align with your natural rhythms. You will receive somatic invitations to notice comfort and discomfort, and the pace stays unhurried so your system has time to process what needs attention. The focus is capacity building, not a pursuit of only good vibes. It suits people who are tired of staying constantly on, athletes, lifters, and surfers who view recovery as more than muscles, anyone navigating real stress who wants something more candid than toxic positivity, and those ready to cultivate true resilience without expecting to feel regulated every moment. No prior experience is needed, only a willingness to feel what is present. The environment is designed to support relaxing into deeper states. Wear comfortable clothing for lying down, bring a favorite blanket if you tend to get cold, and carry a water bottle. Bolsters, eye masks, and zero gravity chairs are provided. Doors open 15 minutes before the start, and late arrival disrupts the experience. Attendance is limited to four to keep the space spacious and contained. This offering is not a substitute for medical care. If you have a pacemaker, are sensitive to sound, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy, please consult your healthcare provider beforehand. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance receive a full refund, and bookings become non-refundable after that window. Payment can be sent via Venmo to @besachi3 for 57 to avoid fees, or you can register through the provided link. Free parking is available on site and on the street, and the space is on the ground floor with restroom access.

A rotating lineup of local musicians keeps the music varied, spanning styles that include 60s folk and southern rock, flamenco and Spanish influences, and pop rock. Food and drink are available across the farm, including Huerta Taco Stand, Fox Point Pizza, Harvest Market Café bites, and Haven Farm + Table. Look for drink specials like $10 margaritas and $5 rotating Fox Point Brewing Co. beer. Outside food or beverages are not permitted. Tractor-train tours travel around the property with stops to meet and feed some of the farm’s animals. Giant Jenga and cornhole add to the fun, and there is room to roam for all ages. Dogs are welcome on the Lawn only and must remain on a leash.

Beginner Swing Classes with Mercedes Moore

Beginner-friendly swing classes led by Mercedes Moore focus on the essentials of 6-count Lindy, also known as East Coast Swing, in a supportive setting. Each session starts with a quick review of the fundamentals, then moves into fresh choreography so newcomers can build skills step by step. No partner or prior dance experience is needed, and partners rotate during class to foster connection and social dancing. Mercedes has been part of the swing scene since the mid-1990s. After connecting with a vibrant community in Houston in 1999, she began teaching and performing with a team that used exhibitions and competitions to reach the broader community. Her instruction centers on connection, the quality that makes partner dancing both enjoyable and engaging. Classes take place in Studio 4 at the CCAE Studios, not in the Concert Hall or Center Theater. Entry through the Museum is not guaranteed. The most reliable access is from the Center’s Main Parking Lot near the James A. Stone swimming pool, followed by a walk across the footbridge that connects to Grape Day Park. At Questhaven, Subhan Schenker leads a weekend workshop that brings together Family Constellations and Internal Mind Systems. The Family Constellations process explores how beliefs and inner voices taken from family can shape choices and contribute to tension in life. Internal Mind Systems work then identifies inner parts such as familiar personas, character patterns, and earlier developmental layers that may feel stuck and quietly influence how experiences are interpreted and how reactions form. Using both approaches supports greater day-to-day awareness of these patterns and begins to ease their habitual grip.

Mindful Conversations

Many circles quietly ask people to perform, even when they are described as safe. This gathering is designed to lift that pressure so presence can take the lead. It begins by slowing down, not as a warm-up but as the work itself. A guided exploration of somatic body language invites you to notice what your body is already communicating without putting it into words. From there, a breath and sound journey supports whatever is ready to come forward. It is not a place where you must produce insights, and it is not a share circle where silence feels uncomfortable. Expect a low-structure, no-performance environment with room to arrive exactly as you are and listen inward. There is no need to be in crisis or be deeply into these practices; simple curiosity about what lies beneath the noise is enough. If something has felt stuck in your chest, this room offers space for it. The format is in person, and attendance is limited to keep the setting intimate.

Legend Zeppelin | The Grand Ritz | Escondido, CA

Legend Zeppelin brings a faithful, 1969-inspired Led Zeppelin concert experience to The Grand Ritz Theater in Escondido. Promoted as the world’s first and only Bootleg Band, the group highlights original-style gear, attitude, and musicianship to recreate the look and sound of Led Zeppelin at the start of its career. Rather than a simple greatest hits show, the performance channels the raw intensity of the earliest 1969 tours. The multi-year project traces the band’s evolution from 1969 through 1980, adding songs as they first appeared and expanding the stage show and swagger along the way, building toward a recreation of the 1980 U.S. tour that never happened.

Il Tabarro

The California Center for the Arts, Escondido hosts an evening that pairs opera and ballet around Giacomo Puccini’s Il Tabarro. This one-act work, whose title translates as The Cloak, unfolds on a river barge in Paris around the turn of the century, tracing a tense tale of love, jealousy, and betrayal. Its atmospheric score evokes a foggy night filled with secrets and dire consequences. Although it opens Puccini’s Il Trittico trilogy, it is staged far less often than Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi. The compact drama plays in about an hour and will be performed with a full orchestra. After intermission, the story returns in a fresh form through a neoclassical ballet with original choreography. The characters communicate solely through expressive movement while the orchestral music is heard without vocals. This program launches Season 4 for Cinballera Entertainment, an independent nonprofit based in North San Diego County founded in 2023 by sisters Tiffany and Rebekah Brannan. Dedicated to blending cinema, ballet, and opera, they produce, direct, and write much of their repertoire and also take the stage. Dramatic coloratura soprano Tiffany and prima ballerina Rebekah alternate as the leading lady across the opera and ballet, joined by a company of international performers and local talent.

Block Code Adventure Lab

Block Code Adventure Lab invites ages 8 to 14 to explore logic and creativity through a hands-on coding camp. Participants learn core computer science concepts with visual block programming using MIT Scratch and Microsoft MakeCode. They shift from consuming technology to creating with it as they build animated stories, design retro-inspired arcade games, and solve interactive puzzles. The block-based approach removes syntax hurdles so the focus stays on problem solving and understanding how and why code works, laying a foundation for future text-based languages. Groups are organized by age and skill level, and the curriculum emphasizes critical thinking and project-based learning rather than passive screen time. Activities feature designing interactive 3D worlds in Roblox Studio, coding builds and automation in Minecraft Education, learning the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the web, creating polished graphics in Canva, composing live electronic music with code in Sonic Pi, and beginner-friendly programming in Scratch. Instruction takes place in small groups led by mentors who make complex topics approachable. Registration is handled through the Carlsbad Connect portal, and space is limited to maintain a personalized experience. For a smoother signup, upload a child’s birth certificate to a CivicRec account before registration opens.
