The Path to a Better Life

Participants explore tapping techniques to raise energy, mindful movement to improve balance and strength, and calming practices that include breathwork, sound healing, and meditation. A $10 donation is suggested, and everyone is welcome with or without a contribution.

This open studio focused on watercolor and acrylics offers a collaborative workspace where artists exchange feedback on their paintings and share new techniques, with occasional demonstrations. Paradise Art CenterSalsa Dancing @ Bella’s Chico
At Bella’s Sports Pub in downtown Chico, a beginner friendly Latin dance night features an intro class with local instructor Ray Hayes. Styles rotate among salsa, bachata, and merengue, and newcomers are encouraged to jump in. No partner or prior experience is needed, and even those with two left feet will feel at home. The evening includes a quick sign in, a beginner lesson, then music and open social dancing. Tickets are sold at the door before class, with cash and digital payment accepted. Options include Drink & Dance for $20 with one drink, Tacos & Dance for $25 with three tacos, and Tacos, Drink & Dance for $30 with one drink and three tacos. Dress up or keep it casual so you feel comfortable, and dance shoes are not required.
Bella's Sports PubYang Style Tai Chi
Explore the Yang style of tai chi with a focus on the longest of its six principal sequences, a flowing set that takes about 25 minutes to perform. This practice supports balance, strength, and flexibility while offering meditation through movement. In a workshop setting, participants will learn the first third of the form, covering roughly 36 moves. Free to the CSL Chico community.
