The 47th annual Chico Concours car show brings a full day of beautiful automobiles, music, refreshments and entertainment to the park-like setting of the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico. The Sweet Flower Stage welcomes The Mother Hips and the Jackie Greene Band for the 3rd Annual Vet Rock Veterans Fundraiser presented by VECTORS Chico. Part of a new 2026 trail demo series, this run welcomes both seasoned trail runners and those just getting started to try updated versions of popular trail shoes. Shoe vendors will be on site to explain the latest models, then participants take them out for a relaxed trail run in local parks to see how they feel underfoot. Hot coffee, light bites, and an easygoing atmosphere set the tone while runners test gear and share feedback with the team. This edition highlights HOKA with chances to try the Speedgoat and the Chalenger. Some dates in the series include a bit of friendly competition.

Roller derby takes over the Pavilion at Silver Dollar Fair as Nor Cal Roller Derby faces Peninsula Roller Derby in a high-energy showdown. The bout embraces a pink theme in support of breast cancer awareness, so attendees are encouraged to wear pink and cheer for their favorite skaters. This marks the first time Nor Cal Roller Derby brings the action to this Pavilion, promising big hits, quick laps, and a lively atmosphere. Tickets are available in advance for 13 through your favorite derby skater, 15 at the door, 10 for kids ages 6 to 13, and free for children 5 and under.

A Nashville recording artist and Northern California native makes a debut appearance at a Chico venue. This show marks the artist’s first performance at this location.

Broken Compass Bluegrass brings an evening of lively, foot-tapping bluegrass to the Chico Women's Club, blending classic roots with a fresh, contemporary feel. This all-ages show is $25. Celebrated in Chico for 13 years, Walk Woof Wag brings a cheerful, dog-friendly day in Bidwell Park with a scenic walk, games for dogs and their humans, costume contests judged by celebrities, activity booths, and plenty of tricks and treats. Proceeds support the Chico Animal Shelter, funding vital care for abandoned, injured, and ill animals so they can heal and find loving homes. The fundraising target is $35,000 or more. Opportunities include registering, donating funds or raffle prizes, volunteering, or sponsoring a team, an activity booth, or the event. Early registration offers special pricing and the chance to have a pet’s name printed on the event T-shirt, which features Cola. Corporate sponsorships are currently being sought.

A family-friendly Halloween circus evening blends a mini carnival with trick or treating and a short aerial showcase designed for kids. Expect game stations set up in the parking lot with candy available at each stop, a costume parade for participating children, and a playful spooky show featuring Constellations Aerial Performers alongside students from the Freebird kids classes. Tickets are $20 and include one adult and one child, each additional child is $5, and each additional adult is $15. A child is 17 and under, and ages 3 and under are free. AJ Lee & Blue Summit came together as teenagers within California’s festival community, shaping their sound at informal jams before early shows around Santa Cruz. After two independent albums they released City of Glass on Signature Sounds, earning strong reviews and appearances at major festivals including Telluride, MerleFest, High Sierra, and RockyGrass. Their repertoire flows easily from bluegrass to country to western swing to folk-rock, with AJ Lee’s commanding vocals at the center. Broken Compass Bluegrass, formed in 2021, includes Kyle Ledson, Django Ruckrich, Mei Lin Heirendt, and Sam Jacobs. The quartet has quickly earned recognition for precise arrangements, tasteful picking, and memorable songwriting, with performances at MerleFest, High Sierra Music Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, WinterWonderGrass, and Bluegrass in La Roche in France. Their live show blends tradition and innovation, pairing rich harmonies with intricate instrumental interplay and a burst of onstage energy that connects with both longtime bluegrass listeners and newcomers.

Divine Sundays brings back the fourth annual Chico Day of the Dead Festival, offering a welcoming mix of cultural learning and community celebration with free entry. Hosted at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds Pavilion, the festival features a lowrider showcase in partnership with the Chico Impalas car club, with vehicle registration available through @verocastro530. Guests can enjoy a complimentary photo booth by Fernweh Photobus, take part in a scavenger hunt that highlights the traditions and meaning of Día de Muertos, and watch live mural creation. The 6th Annual Phoenix 5K/10K honors the Ridge community’s recovery after the 2018 Camp Fire, taking its inspiration from the phoenix as a symbol of renewal. Participants travel the Memorial Trail past places that carry deep meaning... new homes beside open lots, rebuilt schools, colorful murals, a handprint wall, and the Hope Plaza. The route also passes the police and fire departments in recognition of those who protected the town. Every step reflects remembrance, gratitude, and the hope shaping what continues to rise on the Ridge. The event features a 5K walk or run, a 10K run, and a free pancake breakfast for the entire community.
