Planned earlier in the day to help beat the heat, this casual mom-focused walk sets off from Paradise Community Park and follows the Paradise Memorial Pathway. The group heads out for about 30 to 40 minutes, then turns back and finishes at the park. The pace can be stroller friendly or guided by little ones, and scooters and bikes are welcome. Expect a gentle incline on the way out and a downhill return. The pathway is flat and paved, which makes it easy for wagons and strollers, but shade is limited, so sunscreen and plenty of water for kids are recommended. After the walk, children often spend some time playing at the park, and families can leave whenever it works best for them. This gathering is hosted by the local mom group Motherhood Meet Up, which organizes 5 to 10 events each month and welcomes moms at every stage of motherhood.

Recognized as Best Band in the North Bay Bohemian Reader’s Picks in 2022 and 2023 and as Best Reggae Band in the North Bay nine times, including each of the last five years, Sol Horizon appears with a full lineup that includes horns and female backing vocals. Known for energetic performances and lyrics that highlight peace, love, positivity, community, sustainability, and the restorative power of nature, the band honors Bob Marley’s legacy by performing some of his greatest songs. This event is open to all ages.

Celebrate Halloween early with a family friendly mini show that mixes carnival style fun and gentle spooky vibes. Kids can play games, collect candy at trick or treating stations, and take part in a costume parade before a short performance featuring Constellations Aerial Performers alongside students from the Freebird kids classes. Admission is $20 for one adult and one child, each additional child is $5, and each additional adult is $15. Children are 17 and under, and ages 3 and under are free. Adults must be accompanied by a child to attend. Tickets are also available without service fees at Freebird Yoga Studio. This is an outdoor event, so consider bringing bug spray and sunscreen. Street parking only is available and carpooling is encouraged. Blankets are welcome for seating.
