Participants typically set out clean, safe, useful items on a blanket or tarp, including craft supplies, books, toys, clothing, shoes, plants, housewares, small furniture, electronics, and nonperishable food. Visitors are encouraged to let people finish setting up before browsing, to give space, and to avoid crowding. Anything that is not taken should be brought back home to keep the park tidy, and items found here should not be resold. The gathering also welcomes free services and skill sharing, such as haircuts, nail care, mending, repairs, crochet lessons, game tutorials, or yoga. A Food and Essentials Drive takes place alongside the market with a share-what-you-can, take-what-you-need approach, and items especially in demand include diapers size 3 and up, wipes, laundry detergent, and toilet paper. The location meets ADA standards, with accessible restrooms, mostly flat ground with no steps, dedicated parking, a wheelchair ramp, and wide doorways and walkways.
