Jill Scott brings the To Whom This May Concern Tour to Paramount Theatre of the Arts with a strictly phone-free setting in the performance space. On arrival, mobile phones and other recording devices, including smart glasses, will be placed in secure Yondr pouches that are unlocked at the end of the event. Guests keep their devices with them and can step into designated Phone Use Areas inside the venue to use their phones, then have them re-secured before returning to their seats. Anyone using a non-permitted device during the show will be escorted out. For purchases at the venue, guests are encouraged to bring a credit card. Credited with creating New Jack Swing, he reshaped contemporary R&B, hip hop, gospel, soul, and pop beginning in the early 1980s and remains a driving force in music and technology. A Grammy winner and multi-platinum producer with more than a thousand credits, he produced Michael Jackson’s Dangerous, a global blockbuster that became the fastest-selling album of all time. His early breakthroughs included co-producing Doug E. Fresh’s The Show and producing Kool Moe Dee’s Go See the Doctor while still a teenager, followed by Keith Sweat’s Make It Last Forever and its chart-topping single I Want Her, which ushered in a new sound. He formed the groups Guy and Blackstreet, delivered hits such as No Diggity, and produced or wrote defining tracks like Just Got Paid, My Prerogative, and I Get The Job Done, alongside work with The Jacksons, the Winans, James Ingram, and a hit remix for Jane Child. Case brings his R&B and soul sound to Yoshi's Oakland -Jack London square with a live band. Born Case Woodard, he has built more than two decades of platinum-selling music centered on love from many angles. Raised in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Mount Vernon, he pursued music early despite a strict household, moving from family-room performances to stints with the group Future and the duo Black. His solo rise followed writing and background vocals for artists including Usher, Christopher Williams, and Al B. Sure, then a discovery by Russell Simmons that led to a Def Jam deal. His 1996 debut introduced the hit Touch Me, Tease Me featuring Foxy Brown and Mary J. Blige. Personal Conversation in 1999 delivered Happily Ever After and Faded Pictures, and Open Letter in 2001 produced Missing You, which topped charts and earned Grammy nominations for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Case’s voice has also been heard on soundtracks for films such as Nutty Professor, Rush Hour, and The Best Man, along with collaborations that include work with Ja Rule. He returned with Face to Face in 2008 and went on to release The Rose Experience, Here, My Love, and Heaven’s Door, as well as a Best Of collection and the EP Case: Relocked, Reloaded, Revisited. A Nigerian American actor, singer, and songwriter, he is known for tracks such as In My Bed, Love Riddim, and What to Do, as well as his role as Dre Coleman in the television series Power. Sharing the stage, Bay Area artist Red Lotus delivers sharp wordplay and heartfelt storytelling, weaving hip hop with pop, R&B, rock, EDM, and acoustic elements. His music explores love, individuality, and resilience, heard in songs like Only You, Built Different, and Heartless. The evening is hosted by Phoenyx Rose, an international hip hop artist from San Francisco whose background spans music, performance, and writing. Recognized as Hip Hop TV’s first lady, she adds a narrative thread that connects each moment. Presented by Mark Elliott of the A-List Musiq Circle and Kim Pruitt of KP Entertainment Connections, the program unites Afrobeats, R&B, and hip hop on one stage.

A standout since childhood, she began singing at three, won the junior vocalist title and prize on Star Search in 1987, and soon became the youngest female solo artist to sign with Capitol Records. Her early releases introduced favorites such as Symptoms of True Love, Hide and Seek, and a moving take on Imagine. At 14 she followed with Make the Difference, highlighted by This House, which rose to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Tender Kisses, a Hot R&B chart topper. Many of these hits, written with her brother Sir Spence, helped earn her ASCAP Songwriter of the Year honors. Her career has included tours with major acts, an on-screen performance of Tender Kisses on Family Matters, contributions to film soundtracks like Good Burger and Down in the Delta, high-profile modeling work, and the album Tracie featuring It’s All About You (Not About Me) and Still In My Heart. She has also recorded or appeared alongside John Legend, Dr. Dre, Eve, Kanye West, Jay Z, and 50 Cent. After a renewed spotlight from a viral throwback clip and a performance at D-Nice’s Club Quarantine at the Kennedy Center, she returns to the stage ready to reconnect with audiences. The show also features Jeremy Keith, a Season 29 semifinalist on The Voice who reached the top nine and has performed as a background vocalist for Stephanie Mills and others, including a credited contribution to Kaleo’s double platinum Way Down We Go.
