Pick up free groceries through a monthly distribution that welcomes everyone. There is no income verification, and new families can register on the day of distribution. Please park and walk in to receive items, and bring reusable bags and a cart to help carry food. Each family may receive up to 100 pounds of groceries.

Chef Rich and Eric present a pop-up dinner at Da Good Vibes in Union City, featuring five courses of Filipino inspired dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients and, when possible, locally sourced. Bike East Bay presents a hands-on bicycle repair session at Weekes Branch Library focused on the essentials of fixing a flat. Participants get practical experience with each step of removing a tire, patching or replacing an inner tube, and putting everything back together, along with tips to help prevent future flats. Bring a wheel with a flat if you have one, or practice on the demo wheels provided in class. No prior experience is required. Due to time constraints and mechanical complexity, wheels with hub motors or internal gear hubs will not be detached, so practice for those setups will take place on demo wheels. This workshop is funded by the City of Hayward’s Active Transportation Education and Promotion Program, supported by California Climate Investments.

This motorcycle ride rallies support for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation by raising funds for lifesaving research and vital resources for families. Participants may register as individuals or as part of a group and fundraise while doing what they love, riding their motorcycles. Every contribution helps children and families impacted by pediatric brain cancer, the most lethal disease of childhood.

The annual open house at Hayward Executive Airport welcomes visitors with free admission and parking. Airplane rides for adults and children will be offered at a low cost.
