Carnegie PlazaPrince - Black, White, Color
Presented by the Orange Community Arts Guild, this evening celebrates the life and legacy of Prince with a book launch and exhibition for "Prince: Black, White, Color" by award-winning photographer and art director Steve Parke. Marking the tenth anniversary of Prince’s passing, the program showcases a vivid visual record that reveals sides of the artist the public seldom saw. Steve Parke, who served as Prince’s in-house art director at Paisley Park for 13 years, will share stories from their long collaboration, from creating iconic album artwork to hand-painting guitars. Guests can explore a curated selection of photographs, many published for the first time, including intimate moments at Paisley Park, scenes from Prince’s home in Marbella, and quiet time in the studio. A signing offers the chance to take home the 296-page volume from ACC Art Books, featuring striking black and white portraits alongside rich color imagery. Attendance supports the Orange Community Arts Guild and its mission to build artistic connections and bring high-quality art experiences to the community. Admission includes general and VIP options, with priority entry and reserved seating available for VIP guests. Admirers of Prince and enthusiasts of fine art photography will find a rare look into the private world of an artist who changed music forever.
