Portal Rhythms is a mindful drumming experience that blends rhythm, breath, and self expression into an intentional wellness circle. Guided by Dee DiGioia, a HealthRHYTHMS drumming wellness facilitator with Mindful Kindful YOUniversity, the gathering weaves grounding and energizing practices to spark curiosity, creativity, courage, and connection. No musical experience is needed, and the facilitated format welcomes beginners while those with experience enrich the shared groove. Held at The Portal at Living Energy in downtown Pismo Beach, this crystal attuned space invites participants to slow down, release stress, create rhythms, and sing together. Drumbeats and songs resonate with the ocean’s pulse and the surrounding earth elements to amplify a high vibrational field. The circle offers an embodied way to process emotions, soothe the nervous system, and cultivate resilience and well being. Through the natural phenomenon of entrainment, bodies and minds begin to sync with steady rhythms, inviting calm, clarity, and a deep sense of belonging. Each session is co created by everyone in the room. Dee provides guidance, and the collective participation shapes something fresh each time, making every circle a living, evolving experience where expression and play open the door to freedom and self discovery. Many leave feeling relaxed, uplifted, grounded, and creatively refreshed, a supportive midweek anchor or a meaningful complement to a beach getaway. All levels and abilities are welcome, the circles are inclusive and empowering, and registration is required.
