Within the park, saltwater marshes support a thriving bird population, the volcanic peaks Black Hill and Cerro Cabrillo rise above the bay, and the Museum of Natural History adds perspective on the area’s natural features. Expect moderate coastal weather, with summer days often 30 degrees cooler than inland areas. A nearby community located 1.5 miles north of the campground provides gas stations, grocery stores, dining, and other conveniences. The group campground features fire pits, grills, picnic tables, flush toilets, a drinking water spigot, and a camp host, with showers just steps from a secluded group campsite. An intimate night at The Siren in Morro Bay features Scott Kinnebrew’s solo project Sounding Arrow alongside Gary Jules and Breezers. Kinnebrew, known from Truth & Salvage Co., recently unveiled his second Sounding Arrow album, SKYMAN, co-produced with Gary Jules. The record leans into close-to-the-bone storytelling and a rich, spacious sound that blends rock, folk, country, blues, British Invasion influences, R&B, and pop. It was mixed by Bill Reynolds and mastered by Dewey Thomas. Over three decades, Kinnebrew has appeared with artists such as The Black Crowes, The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others, with his former band releasing two albums on Sony’s Megaforce label and performing on late-night television. Gary Jules, recognized for “Mad World” from the Donnie Darko soundtrack, steps from the studio to the stage for this show. The lineup also includes Breezers, the songwriting vehicle of Los Angeles multidisciplinary artist Evan apRoberts. His music draws on the wide-open feel of the American West and years of work in the LA scene, following a 2010 solo debut and extensive touring as a guitarist, bassist, and vocalist with acts including Michael Nau, Pink Mountaintops, Joel Jerome, Little Wings, Kath Bloom, Tall Tales and the Silver Lining, Kings of Convenience, Elisa Randazzo, and Port O’Brien, a band praised by M. Ward in 2008.

Set high above the blue ocean at the lighthouse, this Saturday afternoon concert features Hot 45, an R&B band from San Luis Obispo. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets are limited and often sell out. Low chairs under two feet are allowed in the general admission area only, while high-back chairs and umbrellas are not permitted. Entry begins when doors open on a first come, first served basis. There is no re-entry after you enter the venue, so arrive prepared with items that comply with venue rules. Pets are not allowed. A clear bag policy is in effect and all bags are subject to search. Management is not responsible for items that are confiscated. You may bring a clear bag, one empty water bottle, blankets, strollers, a hat, and sunscreen. Do not bring backpacks or purses, pets, weapons, drugs, alcohol, outside food or drinks, ice chests, coolers, picnic baskets, professional cameras, high-back lawn chairs, umbrellas, or pop-up tents. A $4 parking fee is included in the ticket for parking on the 10th Fairway. Tailgating is not allowed, and anyone consuming personal alcohol in parking areas will be denied entry.
