Palomares Park hosts the finale of the Pomona Concert Band’s 79th season of summer concerts, a program that traces 250 years of American music. Artistic Director and Conductor Linda W. Taylor leads the ensemble with Assistant Conductor Kerry Kline, and Paula Lantz serves as emcee. The evening features Hail to the Spirit of Liberty, Fantasy on American Sailing Songs, Shenandoah, Bugler’s Holiday, Beauty and the Beast, and Salute to the Armed Forces, concluding with John Philip Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever. The City of Pomona sponsors the band, whose musicians represent Pomona and more than twenty neighboring communities. Admission is free, a concession stand will be available, and this season is presented at Palomares Park because the bandshell at Ganesha Park is undergoing emergency repairs.

Pomona Heritage presents the 25th Annual Old Home Workshop at Trinity United Methodist Church - Pomona. This free program offers practical guidance on caring for and restoring older houses, helping homeowners preserve the places they cherish. Membership is not required to participate. Donations for the silent auction are welcome, with pickup available or items may be brought the morning of the workshop.

Pomona’s Blacklight Run returns with a nighttime, untimed 5K that turns the course into a glowing playground. Runners and walkers make their way through multiple neon color zones that pop under blacklights, with upbeat music fueling the fun. Wear white and add bright accents to amplify the glow as you move along the route. After the finish, the celebration continues with a live DJ, dancing, color blasts, and plenty of photo moments. The event welcomes all ages and is a lively pick for families, groups of friends, and anyone who enjoys a festive fun run. Free registration is available for a limited time.
