Alicia Witt brings her Los Angeles album release show to The Mint LA, highlighting Between Heaven and Earth, a profoundly personal new collection released via Thirty Tigers. Cut live in New York with producer Joe Henry and an ensemble gathered solely for these sessions, the music sits between the transcendent and the intimately felt, shaped by Witt’s long relationship to the work and memory of David Lynch that reaches back to her early role in Dune. Across the record she explores connection, gratitude, healing, surrender, nostalgia, fate, and longing through a steady optimism and a belief in love that endures without conditions. Made in four days with singers and players recorded together and very few overdubs, the performances lean into instinct and chemistry. Witt describes reaching a creative state through Transcendental Meditation, prayer, and the flow of the studio, allowing songs to arrive in the moment. The title track traces a mystical spark with someone new and the faith to dream. Artifacts lets go of old lessons and relearns how to love. Kindred imagines barriers dissolving in light and destiny. Build Me A Dream looks at creating the reality we want and recognizing an eternal bond. Freeze Frame, Test Drive, and Blue Moon consider alternate paths, memory, and the calm that comes with accepting connections that do not last. Thank You, featuring John Paul White, reframes heartbreak as appreciation for what it made possible. Love Anyway centers on offering care even when it is not returned. The Director closes the album as a bonus track, framed as a direct conversation with Lynch and captured in a single uninterrupted take that surfaced during a lunch break on the final day in the studio. Known for work across film, television, and stage, Witt is also a classically trained pianist who supported herself as a musician after moving to Los Angeles. Her catalog includes Revisionary History, The Conduit, and I Think I’m Spending Christmas With You, with Between Heaven and Earth marking the next chapter in that journey. A very limited pre-show meet and greet reception is available through the ticket link. Raynes is a British-American trio that came together when North Dakota natives Mat Charley and Joe Berger discovered UK singer Mark Race on Instagram. After a few calls, Mark flew to the United States to start the band, later commemorating the trip by tattooing the flight number. The group has signed with Sony Music Publishing, released multiple singles and EPs, earned coverage in outlets like Billboard and People, and built a sizable streaming audience. They have appeared at BottleRock Festival 2025 and toured clubs, concert halls, and amphitheatres across the United States and the United Kingdom, building a reputation for energetic performances. Their sound blends tight vocal harmonies, distinctive instrumentation, and lyrical storytelling, drawing on folk, rock, and chamber pop with Celtic and global influences, resulting in music that resists easy categorization. David Wimbish & The Collection bring songs shaped by upheaval and renewal. After a period marked by a breakup, a move from Saxapahaw to Asheville, new parenthood, and the devastation of Hurricane Helene that left his community without clean water and friends unaccounted for, David returned to writing and recording. Now based in Richmond, Virginia, he presents Heavy Love, created largely in the aftermath of the storm and crafted almost entirely on his own in a studio he built at his parents’ home in North Carolina. Raised in North Carolina and having launched The Collection in college, he has developed a devoted following with anthemic, heartfelt records known for rousing energy and candid storytelling. Mama’s Broke, the Canadian duo of Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria, brings a border-crossing folk sound shaped by years on the move. Their 12-song album Reunion, released by Free Dirt Records and Forward Music Group, grows from long stretches of street performance, traveling light, and drawing from deep-rooted traditions across Eastern Canada, Appalachia, Ireland, and beyond. The pair first connected within a global web of musicians who shared songs as a way to get by, refining close harmonies and a repertoire strong enough to captivate passersby for hours at a time. Building on a Canadian Folk Music Award for Ensemble of the Year for their debut Count the Wicked and a JUNO-nominated follow-up, Narrow Line, the new record looks at a world under strain, reflecting on frayed connections and fading trust without preaching. Tracked in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, it features understated touches from bassist Paul Kowert and others that add color while keeping the focus on the duo’s acoustic core. At heart it is still two interlaced voices, both delicate and enduring, asking what lasts when place matters less than what is made together. The duo is touring the new album.

All ages are welcome at this show. Please note that schedules and supporting acts may change. Ticket access includes an artist presale, Citi cardmember presale and preferred tickets, a Live Nation presale, and a public onsale.

The follow up, Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat, featured a guest spot from Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz, led to dates with Dawes and Lucius, and drew praise from WFUV as one of the standout Americana and rock acts to emerge from New York in recent years.

A co-headlining night at The Mint LA brings together Raynes with David Wimbish & The Collection for a dynamic showcase in Los Angeles. Since then, the group has signed with Sony Music Publishing, released six singles and four EPs, reached hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams, earned coverage in Billboard and People, and performed at BottleRock Festival 2025 as well as venues across the United States and the United Kingdom. Their performances highlight rich vocal harmonies, distinctive instrumentation, and poetic lyrics, blending influences from folk, rock, and chamber pop with Celtic and global colors to create a sound that defies simple categorization. Sharing the bill, David Wimbish & The Collection present material shaped by a period of upheaval and renewal. After a year marked by major life changes and the impact of Hurricane Helene on his community, David returned to the studio and created Heavy Love, a warm and candid album largely written, produced, and recorded on his own in a studio he built in his parents’ North Carolina home. Raised in North Carolina and having launched The Collection in college, he has cultivated a devoted following through anthemic, heartfelt songs driven by stomp-and-holler energy and deeply human storytelling. Heavy Love explores themes of aging, heartbreak, shifting friendships, natural disaster, nonconformity, love as action, and existential uncertainty with unguarded honesty.
