The Beths and Beach Bunny
New Zealand indie rock quartet The Beths and Chicago indie pop trio Beach Bunny share the bill for a co-headlining show at Madonna Inn. The Beths’ album Straight Line Was a Lie landed on numerous year-end best-of lists from outlets such as Rolling Stone, Consequence of Sound, and Slate. Beach Bunny’s Tunnel Vision highlights Lili Trifilio’s candid songwriting alongside the band’s energetic, guitar-forward sound. This all ages event brings two standout indie acts together on one stage.

At The Pavilion at La Lomita Ranch, this gathering offers a gentle bridge between day and night, activity and rest, sound and quiet. Nestled below Islay Hill among oaks and vineyard rows as the crickets begin their chorus, participants come together through sound. This immersive experience in sacred sound is designed to encourage deep rest, inner calm, and a renewed sense of well-being. It invites you to reconnect with your roots, relax into soothing resonance, and emerge with refreshed radiance. Please bring a yoga mat or cushion, a blanket and pillow, and anything else that helps you lie comfortably on the pavilion floor. A reclining lawn chair is welcome if preferred. Community Members pay $25, and overnight guests of La Lomita Bed and Breakfast may attend at no additional cost.

Sunshine Poker League brings its social, beginner friendly poker to Humdinger Brewing in San Luis Obispo, with a focus on fun and community where no gambling is allowed. A $5 donation is appreciated. Participants can earn points, win prizes and bragging rights, and collect Bar Poker Open virtual tokens. The three highest finishers receive tokens that can be used in online qualifying events, which can lead to a seat in the $400,000 Bar Poker Open Championship in Las Vegas, where first place pays $100,000. Expect refreshing beer and good food, chances to meet new people, and a relaxed setting to learn the game or sharpen your skills. New players and experienced competitors are equally welcome.
Pismo Summer Market
This weekly community gathering fills Pismo Pier Plaza, next to the PISMO BEACH sign, with more than 40 local artisans, a variety of food, and live music just steps from the beach. Guests can listen to local musicians while taking in ocean views. Families will find face painting and a small play area located a short distance from the event. It offers a chance to support small, local creators in a beachside setting.
