This program, Conductor Favorites, is led by Artistic Director and Conductor Linda W. Taylor with columnist David Allen serving as master of ceremonies. The performance showcases music Taylor has treasured across her many years with the ensemble, including Toccata for Band, On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss, Sousa’s Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Days of Wine and Roses, and Marching Down Broadway. The band features musicians from Pomona and more than twenty neighboring communities and traces its origins to 1947 under founder G. Stanton Selby. Admission to the series is free, and a concession stand will be open. Concerts are being held at Palomares Park this season because the Ganesha Park Bandshell is undergoing emergency repairs.
