How To Eat the Wild-FREE

Explore how to recognize and gather wild edible plants and fungi in a way that cares for the environment, and see how foraging can enrich your cooking. Through clear instruction, vivid photography, and presentations centered on recipes, attendees build confidence to search for wild foods safely and creatively, then turn their finds into satisfying meals that let these ingredients shine. The 3 Foragers are a family from southeastern Connecticut with more than 21 years of experience exploring New England’s edible wild plants and fungi. They emphasize careful identification, photography, and cooking with both native and invasive species, and they encourage a family friendly, environmentally sustainable approach to foraging. By sharing their own recipes and practical guidance, they help people bring wild foods into everyday meals while nurturing a stronger connection to nature and responsible harvesting.
