NU2U BooksMCT Presents One Man, Two Guvnors
Melbourne Civic Theatre presents One Man, Two Guvnors, a British farce by Richard Bean directed by Peg Girard and honored with a Tony Award. New to Brevard audiences, the story follows Francis Henshall, a struggling musician who accidentally signs on with two bosses at once, each unaware of the other. As he hustles to keep both jobs, he fabricates stories, slips into disguises, dodges discovery, and attempts to win the affection of Dolly, the bookkeeper at a neighborhood pub. Expect slapstick, chaotic mix-ups, and live skiffle music for a lively night at the theater. Jamie Cook stars as Francis Henshall, with Aaron Karnes as Stanley Stubbers and Natalie Harpold as Rachel Crabbe. The cast also features Thomas St. Marie as Alfie, James Warrack as Harry Dangle, Pete Jacobsen as Lloyd Boateng, Jessica Foix as Pauline Clench, Randy Caldwell as Charles Clench, Justin Rupp as Alan Dangle, Rachel Greshes as Dolly, and Steve Budkiewicz as Gareth, with ensemble members Sandy Ganio, Max Thornton, and John Mark McElhinny. The production team includes direction by Peg Girard, scenic, technical, and lighting design by Alan Selby, sound design by Wendy Reader, scenic art by Linda Lindsey, costumes by Susan Suomi, Pam Hein, and Peg Girard, and hair and wigs by Jessica Foix.
