Brevard County Farmers Market

The Brevard County Farmers Market gathers growers and food producers under the Regional Pavilion at Wickham Park for a market dedicated to edible, locally made foods and other agricultural goods rather than crafts or art. Admission and parking are free. Many vendors accept cards, though bringing cash helps for those that do not. SNAP is accepted. Shoppers can swipe an EBT card at the SNAP and Fresh Access Bucks booth to receive tokens for use with vendors, and every dollar spent in SNAP is matched with a dollar in FAB with no current cap. For example, a $25 SNAP transaction provides $25 in orange SNAP tokens plus $25 in green FAB tokens, creating $50 to spend on fresh, local food. Tokens do not expire. The market operates year round except during holidays and hurricanes. The Regional Pavilion offers accessible parking, restrooms, and water fountains, and bus stops are located at the park’s main entrances.

Birth Story Circle

This relaxed, informal circle offers a supportive place for those carrying a hard or disappointing birth story to speak and be received without judgment. It is not therapy and it is not a medical debrief. The focus is on listening and sharing in a contemporary, compassionate space, whether the birth was recent or long ago. This gathering is designed for mothers, partners, and birth professionals who want room to tell their story, and partners attend separately. Facilitated by Nicole, a Birth Story Medicine practitioner trained by Pam England, the circle uses a solution-focused conversation rather than medical advice or conventional talk therapy. Drawing on experience in perinatal mental health, childbirth education, and clinical lactation consulting, she fosters a protected, respectful environment where participants can sort through their stories and reconnect with personal agency. She views birth as a rite of passage and listens for the healing threads within difficulty, guiding participants to set down what feels heavy and move forward with a lighter heart. Her steady, compassionate presence is grounded in lived experience and the Birth Story Medicine framework. Practical note: Chacana is cashless except for donations. Full Moon Ceremony

Gather under the September full moon, often called the Harvest Moon, for a community celebration of balance, illumination, and reflection. Historically this moon offered extra evening light for bringing in the crops, and it now serves as a reminder to harvest intentions set earlier in the year and clear space before autumn’s introspective season. The evening opens with complimentary shamanic clearing to help participants prepare for the ceremony. Tarot readings are available for purchase. The gathering features shared drumming and singing, plus a simple craft where each person decorates a small stick about the size of a pencil for use in the ritual. Attendees will set intentions to release up to three things that no longer serve them and celebrate together beneath the night sky. Plan to arrive on time to take part in the clearing and get your ceremony stick ready. Consider bringing a chair or blanket, a rattle or drum if you have one, a personal drink, and any items that add to outdoor comfort. This is a family friendly space and all ages are welcome. The event is free, and love donations are appreciated. Contributions such as sage, olive oil, or firewood are also welcome.
