KSSC Thursday Blind Draw "YELLOW BALL" Mixed 8.5" Kickball

Yellow Ball kickball arrives at Lions Park with a blind draw format that randomly places players on teams, making it easy for newcomers and veterans to jump in and learn the game together. This version uses an 8.5 inch nylon-wound rubber playground ball that flies farther off the foot, encourages fresh strategies, and keeps the action brisk from start to finish. Outs can be made by running down opponents with the ball in hand, adding another dynamic element to each play. Traditional gender-based lineup and fielding requirements are removed to create a flexible and inclusive experience for everyone. The season runs four weeks with four teams, a $40 player fee, and playoffs for every squad. Presented by KaboomSSC.

Mama Flow

Designed for pregnancy and the postpartum season, this grounded yoga flow balances strength with softness so your body is guided, not pushed. Expect intentional movement, focused breath, and mindful pelvic floor and core work to support you through every stage of motherhood. It is well suited for expecting moms in any trimester with appropriate modifications, mothers in early recovery or rebuilding strength after birth, and anyone seeking a slower, deeply supportive practice. No prior yoga experience is required, and the environment is warm and welcoming. Classes include gentle, functional sequences for a changing body, breathwork to calm the nervous system and prepare for labor, and tailored adjustments with hands-on guidance. The setting centers community so you feel seen and supported, and many leave feeling more connected, capable, and at home in their bodies. Pregnancy brings rapid changes in posture, stability, and soft tissues, which can contribute to discomfort or a longer recovery without thoughtful support. This practice helps build strength that supports both you and your baby, maintain stability as your body adapts, reduce the risk of common pregnancy-related aches, prepare physically and mentally for birth, and lay the groundwork for a smoother postpartum recovery. Every movement can be adapted, whether you need to slow down, focus on stability, or ease intensity, and you will be guided with clarity and care. You are not doing this alone, as the room is filled with women navigating similar transitions. The class runs 60 minutes at Lovelock Healing Arts. Bring a water bottle, and know that mats and props are provided. Childcare is available with separate registration and is included for members. Please share your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery with the instructor, rest and modify as needed, and consult your healthcare provider if you are under medical care or have specific conditions.

Mama Flow

A grounded, supportive flow designed for pregnancy and the postpartum journey, this class brings strength and softness together so your body is guided with care. Each session weaves intentional movement, breathwork, and pelvic floor awareness to nurture you through every season of motherhood. Expecting mothers in any trimester with thoughtful modifications, postpartum mothers from early recovery through rebuilding, and any mom looking for a slower, deeply supportive practice are welcome. No yoga experience is required and you are encouraged to come exactly as you are. You can look forward to gentle, functional movement that supports a changing body, focused work for pelvic floor connection and core stability, and breath practices that help regulate the nervous system while preparing for labor. Instruction is tailored to your stage with clear guidance and hands-on support in a calm, community-centered setting. Pregnancy brings shifting ligaments, changing posture, and rapid adaptation. Without intention, this can contribute to discomfort and slower recovery. This class helps you build strength that supports both you and your baby, maintain stability as your body changes, reduce the risk of common pregnancy-related pain, prepare physically and mentally for labor, and recover more effectively postpartum. Movement is treated as a foundation for well-being. The class takes place at Lovelock Healing Arts. Bring a water bottle, with mats and props provided. Childcare is available with separate registration and is included for members. Every movement can be adapted so you can slow down, stabilize, or scale intensity with confidence. Please share your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery with the instructor, rest and modify as needed, and consult your healthcare provider if you are under medical care or have specific conditions.

Saturday features pool play on the sand, followed by a beach pub crawl with prize giveaways at each stop, including items like gift cards, league entries, future crawl spots, sponsor donations, and beach themed surprises. Sunday wraps up with tournament play and a shared focus on community impact. Two divisions are offered. Competitive teams contend for a cash purse that grows with sponsor support, while the unrated division plays for a prize package provided by local sponsors. Registration is open to participants 15 and older. Players under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present. Teams must keep at least one female player on the court at all times. Little Stranger

Little Stranger brings the Broken Hearted Boys Tour to Vinyl Music Hall with special guests Tropidelic, Jarv, and Damn Skippy. The Philadelphia-raised, Charleston-based pair of Kevin and John Shields craft an alternative indie hip hop sound that blends tuneful hooks with spirited lyricism and a tightly choreographed, anything-can-happen stage vibe. Their genre-blurring approach has drawn comparisons that span from Remi Wolf and Still Woozy to early 2000s Timbaland, Gorillaz, and NERD, and their resume includes millions of streams, packed rooms across the country, and sets at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, Hangout Fest, BottleRock, and Levitate. Their album Sat Around Trippin on Ineffable Records was developed largely in their Charleston home studio after an inspiring writing stint in a remote North Carolina cabin, yielding songs that balance wit, heart, and groove. Highlights include Kama Sumatra, which champions acceptance with a sun-kissed bounce, Fly Guy, a playful look at outgrowing old habits, God at a Festival featuring Andy Frasco that channels the freedom and expression of a festival crowd, and Nobody Like Me, a punchy rocker that confronts isolation in a status-obsessed world. This is a general admission, standing-room-only event and is open to all ages. Guests under 21 will be charged an additional $5 cash at the door. Attendees under 16 must be with a ticketed adult guardian. Lineups and times may change. Save Ferris

Save Ferris delivers a high-energy show built on the ska, punk, and rock blend that launched the band from Orange County. Starting in 1995 with house parties and small venues, the group gained early momentum when KROQ’s Rodney Bingenheimer aired their cover of Dexys Midnight Runners’ Come On Eileen, securing regular spins without a record deal as vocalist Monique Powell also managed the band. Epic Records signed them in 1997, their debut It Means Everything followed, and they spent the next six years touring worldwide. After a pause in 2003, Powell revived the project in 2013 with a new lineup, celebrating the return with a sold-out night at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa and a Santa Monica Pier performance that drew over 20,000 people. Powell remains at the forefront with an onstage presence that powers the live experience. Following extensive touring in 2023 and new music prepared for 2024, the band takes the stage with fresh momentum.
