Evan Honer at Vinyl Music Hall

Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S Palafox St, Pensacola · verified Sep 6
    See details

Evan Honer brings the It’s An Even Longer Road Tour to Vinyl Music Hall with special guest Sam Burchfield. The evening showcases a songwriter who leapt from a viral breakout to a relentless touring life, channeling that momentum into new music and an evolving sound. After relocating to Nashville, he balanced an international run of shows with building a home studio in his four-car garage and growing Cloverdale Records from his living room, supporting 25 artists across more than 100 releases. He played close to a hundred shows while championing his second album, Fighting For, and kept writing for what became Everything I Wanted. That project was tracked at home over 18 days and pushes his music beyond acoustic Americana toward indie and alternative pop, with strings from neighbor Kate Stephenson, horn parts, pedal steel, and contributions from his roommates. Themes of romance, resilience, roots, and connection with fans thread through songs like Maybe For Once, It’s a Home, Place I Hate, Waiting Room, Curtain, Finally Commit, Wonder, and Lose a Friend, shaped alongside producers Garrett Hall, Shane Travis, and a small circle of collaborators, with touchstones that include Andy Shauf, Medium Build, and Pinegrove. Honer’s path began with a cover of Tyler Childers’ Jersey Giant that drew more than 200 million streams and later earned RIAA gold, all while he juggled college classes, solo gigs, and Division 1 swimming. He released his debut, West On I-10, on graduation day and hit the road, ultimately surpassing 500 million streams and selling out shows with artists like Wyatt Flores. Onstage he leans into storytelling and open-hearted vocals, taking stock of the moment even as he keeps moving. This is a general admission, standing room only show and is open to all ages. Attendees under 21 will be charged an additional cash surcharge at the door. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult guardian. Lineups and schedules may change, and tickets flagged for resale purposes may be canceled at the discretion of Vinyl Music Hall and SeeTickets. There are no refunds and no re-entry.
