Founded in 2007 in Buffalo and later relocated to New York City, the company has built an active presence in the dance community. Its movement language grows from circular motion, three dimensional design, and momentum, creating work that feels both organic and athletic. Performances reflect everyday human experiences, often with touches of humor, and are crafted to be engaging and accessible to a wide range of audiences. The company tours widely and has earned recognition across the United States and abroad. From 2012 to 2016, it completed cultural diplomacy tours in Russia with support from the U.S. State Department, visiting Vladivostok, Anadyr, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Chukotka, and Berezniki. JLDC has performed throughout Europe since 2014 and in 2022 premiered Bernstein Celebration, a full evening set to music by Leonard Bernstein, for which the company was granted special rights. In New York City, the company is a three-time recipient of the CUNY Dance Initiative Award in 2022, 2023, and 2025. Active since 2003, the ensemble is dedicated to high artistic standards and contributes to local cultural life by offering musical masterpieces that speak to the heart, mind, and spirit. Most musicians are based in the Orlando area, with regular members traveling from Jacksonville, Tampa, Daytona, and St. Petersburg. The orchestra typically gives 13 to 15 concerts each year and, while it is not a full-time employer, it unites resident and international artists who also collaborate with symphonic and operatic companies. Among the players are two professionals who live in The Villages and six committed amateurs who rehearse each Saturday to meet the ensemble’s performance standards.

As a solo artist, he has opened for John Mayer, Tom Rush, David Wilcox, Shawn Mullins, John Gorka, Nickel Creek, and others, and his discography includes five solo releases: Archaeology, The Holy Fool, Hidden Everywhere, A Thousand Hands, and Worrying Boy. Rosser also performs with the world fusion trio Free Planet Radio, where he plays Indian dotar, sarod, Turkish cumbus oud, melodica, piano, and guitar across five albums. His touring credits include work as keyboardist with Omar Faruk Tekbilek, as a member of Rhonda Larson’s ensemble Ventus, and as guitarist with Lizz Wright, including more than 60 concerts in leading concert halls across the People’s Republic of China with Ventus and with Free Planet Radio. His songwriting honors include wins at the Rocky Mountain Folk Festival and the Merle Watson Festival, two showcases at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and recognition as a New Folk finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival. A touring presentation of Tibet’s sacred performing and visual arts, endorsed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, shares living traditions dedicated to peace and healing with contemporary audiences. The artists are monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery, now re-established in exile in South India. They are not professional entertainers, but devoted practitioners who step away from study and contemplation to serve as cultural ambassadors. Since the first tour in 1988, their appearances have been welcomed throughout North and South America and across Europe, resonating through the enduring power of these arts and the universal values they express. The monks regard participation as an honor, seeking to contribute in a small way to world peace and to broaden understanding of the Tibetan situation. After each tour they return to their monastery to continue their vocation.

Jessee Lee is a Nashville recording artist and Texas touring act known for sharp, heartfelt writing and a rich, soulful voice that blends vintage country with soul influences. Early years gigging throughout the Texas Hill Country shaped her debut album, Dive Bar Superstar, which produced Texas radio entries including Where He Ain’t and the title track.
