Beginner's Crochet Club

Start your crochet journey in a friendly, beginner-focused club that meets on the third Saturday each month. A team of roughly four to five instructors guides newcomers through the basics, offering plenty of hands-on help. FREE 2-hour group sewing lesson

Members of the Peachtree City Sewing Club are invited to a free session focused on learning your sewing machine and getting started with sewing. The class meets in the Floy Farr Room at the Peachtree City Library downstairs, the space commonly used for early voting. Participants should bring a sewing machine, a spool of thread, a bobbin that fits their machine, and scissors. The instructor will cover which supplies are truly essential, threading the machine, troubleshooting frequent problems, an overview of pins, needles, and thread, routine care for the machine, fabric foundations, and how to choose beginner friendly projects. Everyone will complete a simple item such as a napkin, and fabric will be provided. Attendees will receive a coupon at the meeting for a complimentary one hour private lesson with the instructor. Those unable to attend can arrange a free one hour private lesson separately.

A new Saturday night indoor cornhole league at Let's Go Pickleball & Padel in Peachtree City, presented by Hotlanta Cornhole, welcomes players from beginners to advanced and includes coaching. Taylor & Tucker Cornhole Classic

Taylor & Tucker Trail Lawyers present the second Cornhole Classic, hosted by Hotlanta Cornhole. This bring your own partner tournament will be held at Let's Go Pickleball & Padel in Peachtree City on the opening night of the Summer League. Teams can choose between two divisions: Advanced and Social. Advanced entry is $40 per team, with first place earning $500 plus 50 percent of the entry fees, second place receiving 25 percent of the entry fees, and third place getting a $40 refund. The Social division is $20 per team, with first place taking 75 percent of the entry fees and second place receiving 25 percent. Food and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on site. Early registration is through Scoreholio, and after registering online, cash payment must be made in person to compete.

Atlanta, GA Kick It 3v3 Soccer Tournament 2026 World Tour

The Kick It 3v3 2026 World Tour brings a high-energy soccer tournament to Northgate High School with multiple ways to compete. Enter as a full 3v3 team or sign up as an individual, and explore additional competitions in 1v1 and soccer tennis. The soccer tennis format also works well for parents and children to pair up as teammates. Divisions include youth and adult brackets, with girls and boys from U6 through U19, plus men’s, women’s and coed categories. Every team is guaranteed at least four games. Medals are awarded for first, second and third place, and referees select a sportsmanship recipient. Results also count toward points for the World Championship in Vail. Youth individual 3v3 entries include a paid, qualified coach at $105 per player. Adult and U19 individual 3v3 entries are $65 per player. The 1v1 bracket is $50 per player, limited to 40 participants across all ages, and the winner earns a champion’s medal. Soccer tennis is $120 per team for two to four players and is capped at 20 teams across all ages. During registration, teams indicate their level from top tier to competitive to developmental to help create balanced matchups, though specific placement is not guaranteed. Official Macron uniforms and custom jerseys are available for teams seeking coordinated gear.

Spotlight Summer Camp Season features four themed weeks for ages 4 and up, including K-Pop Demon Hunters, Write Your Own Musical, Heroes and Villains, and Princess Camp. The first three weeks run as full-day sessions, while the Princess Camp is offered as a half-day option. Please send a packed lunch and a water bottle each day, and a healthy afternoon snack is provided. People of all ages are welcome at this Pokémon gathering, with activities geared especially toward players between 6 and 13. For supervision, parents or guardians of elementary-age children need to stay nearby throughout the program, and families of older kids are encouraged to remain in the library. Please note there have been occasional incidents of card theft. Before children are dropped off, a short weekly acknowledgement form about safeguarding belongings must be signed by a parent or guardian, and players 13 and older may sign for themselves. The Water Guardians are organizing the second cleanup of 2026 at Lake McIntosh Park, inviting volunteers in kayaks, canoes, or on foot to help clear litter from the reservoir and shoreline. A signed liability waiver is required for all participants, including returning volunteers, and copies will be available at check in. Those heading onto the water should bring a life vest, and sunscreen and a hat are recommended. Fayetteville marks America’s 250th with an Independence Day weekend filled with music, local history, and activities for all ages. Enjoy friendly American Mahjong while supporting neighbors facing food insecurity. Hosted by Midwest Food Bank Georgia and the Fayette Mahj Social Club, this inaugural event brings players together for community and social play, with proceeds benefiting Midwest Food Bank Georgia and its work providing food and relief to more than 250,000 people. Expect brunch bites and drinks, plenty of table time, and raffle prizes. Early bird registration is $50, with later tiers of $55 and $60, and seating is limited.
