Now in its sixth year, this community race brings runners and walkers together at Courtyard Rome Riverwalk to support dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Presented by A Night to Remember Foundation, proceeds benefit Dementia Care Needs, the Regional Caring Closet, the Local Grant Program, and the Alzheimer’s Association. July 4th Independence Day Celebration

Ridge Ferry Park hosts the 2026 Independence Day Celebration, presented by Atrium Health Floyd, with food trucks, concessions, family games, and inflatable attractions for kids. Wristbands for the inflatables are $5. Live music from Makenzie Phipps, a season 28 participant on The Voice, takes the Coca-Cola Stage before a grand fireworks finale as the 250th Anniversary is celebrated. A massive fireworks show produced by Pyrotecnico will launch from the top of Jackson Hill, featuring more than 1,500 effects in a variety of types, colors, and sizes, making it among the largest displays in Georgia. Rome Radio Partners will air a patriotic music simulcast to accompany the show. Parking is $5 and card only, with parking available in the main park and on the shoals side. For safety, large coolers, pets, drones, fires, and sparklers are not permitted. Please follow staff directions when parking.

Intercultural Fest Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with Intercultural Fest, presents a free multicultural community services and resource fair in Downtown Cartersville. As the first event of its kind in the city and the third major Community Engagement Health and Resource Fair in Northwest Georgia, it brings together organizations, healthcare providers, nonprofits, educational institutions, legal services, wellness programs, businesses, and community leaders with a shared mission to connect families with no-cost resources, expand access to community services, promote health, wellness, and education, and strengthen unity through multicultural engagement. Attendees can explore health and wellness information, learn about community legal resources and educational opportunities, take part in a Dance For Fun wellness activation, enjoy family-focused activities, meet local organizations and service providers, and receive special resources and giveaways.
