Adairsville Seventh-day Adventist Church hosts a free community health fair focused on practical wellness and preventive care. Guests can receive no-cost screenings for blood pressure, body fat, and peak flow, plus enjoy complimentary anti-stress chair massages available in limited quantities on a first come basis. The event features a longevity assessment to estimate your health age, demonstrations in natural wellness such as hydrotherapy, hot foot baths, and simple home remedies, and a Personal Health Record with helpful education to support healthier habits. There is no charge to participate and everyone is welcome. Screenings and massage spots are limited, so arriving early can improve your chances. Registration is available to reserve a spot and receive a reminder.

At In the Hills Studio, a full moon women’s circle offers a gentle, welcoming space for connection, letting go, and fresh beginnings. Participants slow down, turn inward, and honor lunar rhythms with other women on their healing journeys. The gathering centers on quiet reflection and releasing what no longer serves, inviting new clarity and balance. The experience includes gentle yoga to ease the body and settle the nervous system, a guided meditation for inner listening, a release practice focused on clearing unhelpful attachments and long-held energetic patterns, a sharing circle where every voice is valued, and a closing sound bath for integration and grounding. Guests may bring a favorite yoga mat, a small snack to share if they wish, and an open heart for meaningful connection. A suggested donation of $15 per person is noted, and space is limited.

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Senior Promotions Council, hosts the Senior Inforum at the Thornton Recreation Center. Tickets can be picked up at The Parker Senior Center at no cost thanks to a sponsor covering ticket expenses. With an anticipated attendance of about 600 seniors from across Northwest Georgia, the day offers games, socializing, and information from local senior resource organizations. Churches are being asked to gather donations for the Georgia Baptist Children's Home. A truck from GBCH will be on site at the Floyd County Baptist Association for a two hour loading window to receive collected goods. Requested donations include individually wrapped snacks like crackers, chips, and cookies, paper towels, Dixie style paper plates, laundry pods, Dawn dish soap, Lysol disinfectant spray, Fabuloso cleaner, garbage bags in 13 gallon or larger sizes, and Walmart gift cards. Congregations planning to give an offering by check should make it payable to FCBA and deliver it there in advance.

Mini Quilt In The Hoop Machine Embroidery

An every other month Mini Quilt Hanging Squares class begins with a creative, hands-on session focused on in-the-hoop machine embroidery. Participants learn to stitch mini quilt blocks step by step in three hoop sizes, 5x7, 6x10, and 8x8, ideal for seasonal decor, gifts, or wall displays. The instruction supports both beginners and those polishing existing skills, blending clear guidance with practice. Participants should bring an embroidery machine with 5x7, 6x10, and 8x8 hoops, embroidery thread in a variety of colors, bobbin thread, cut-away stabilizer, tape, scissors or snips, and optionally a rotary cutter, ruler, and mat for trimming. The price covers the class, a kit, and the embroidery design.

Battle of the Beasts

Ms. Kamy’s animals step into a playful showdown as they show what makes each one unique. Young animal enthusiasts can cast votes for standouts like best digger, keenest sniffer, most agile climber, and more. This friendly competition encourages curiosity and comparison of different strengths. It takes place in the Children’s Theater and is expected to last about 30 minutes.

With imperfect romantics and dreamers at its center, it offers an unromantic comedy that still speaks to the romantic in everyone.

Love/Sick- Rome Little Theatre

Attend a series of nine short, comedic plays. A darker cousin to Almost, Maine, Love/Sick explores the pain and joy of being in love. The 80-minute show, by John Cariani, is set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality and is full of imperfect lovers and dreamers, making it an unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone.

Clocktower Tours

Make the 107 step ascent to the top of the historic Rome City Clocktower and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Inside the tower, see murals that trace Rome’s history from its founding to the present, and take a look at the original clock mechanism at the base. Only 20 visitors are permitted at the top at one time. Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased in advance. Entry is organized in 30 minute time slots. Please arrive promptly, as tickets are valid only for the reserved slot and missed visits may not be rescheduled.

Pokemon Club

Kids ages 15 and under can explore the Pokémon Trading Card Game in a welcoming setting focused on learning and play. Participants will learn the rules, practice skills, trade cards, meet new friends, and gain confidence, with other activities available as well. This is a free event. A Play! Pokémon ID is required to sign up, and in-person help is available to create one. Promoted as Rome’s only Pokémon club.

Pickin’ on Fifth: Bluegrass Circle Jam

Pickin’ on Fifth gathers musicians for a classic bluegrass circle jam in the Red Clay Vault parking lot at the Scott Warren Foundation Headquarters. Players sit in a circle and rotate turns choosing a tune, then lead the kickoff while everyone else joins in. The focus is on acoustic instruments, with banjo, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, upright bass, and dobro especially welcome. All skill levels are welcome, from newcomers to seasoned pickers. This jam is part of The Road to SpankyJam3, building momentum for SpankyJam3 at North Mesa Pub.

PBC Spring Jamboree '26

PBC Spring Jamboree '26 brings together community fun, uplifting music, and ministry at Parkview Baptist Church. The event features live performances from the PBC Praise Team, Tara Sams, The Davenport's, Melissa Hood, and but God... A chili cook-off and a cake auction are planned, with proceeds from the auction benefiting the PBC Children's Ministry. The celebration concludes with a viewing party for Melissa Hood's episode of Alabama Gospel Roots as it premieres on Alabama Public Television. If the weather allows, activities will take place on the outdoor stage for a relaxed time of worship, good food, and fellowship.

The Butterfly Ball at the Rome Civic Center is billed as the biggest fundraiser of the year for the organizers, with proceeds supporting additional accessible playground equipment. Nominations for the Butterfly Ball Queen will be accepted. Questions are welcome.

Colosseum Armature GT

This two day GT features five rounds, each planned for three hours. Check in and a player meeting lead into the opening game on day one, followed by a one hour lunch break and two additional rounds. Day two wraps up with the final two rounds, then placements and awards. Top finishers receive trophies for first through third. Best in Faction recognition for Chaos, Imperium, and Xenos comes with Displates. All participants are included in door prize raffles for boxed items, which take the place of store credit for winners. The event uses any official dataslate released before the published cutoff. Army lists are due ahead of time, and submitting late without prior communication results in a 10 point deduction in round one. Lists will be made public once all have been received. Proxy models require advance approval, and any unapproved proxies identified during the event may be removed for the remainder. A player packet with missions will be provided in advance.

First Annual LEAP Into Summer Festival & Golf Ball Drop

This first annual summer festival brings the community together for a family friendly day while raising funds for LEAP Academy. Activities include a cake walk, a silent auction, bounce houses, train rides, and snow cones along with other food. The main attraction is a helicopter golf ball drop. Golf balls are purchased in advance and assigned numbers, then hundreds are released over a target. The ones nearest the center win cash prizes, with awards of $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third. Pricing is $10 for one ball, $25 for three, $40 for five, and $100 for fifteen.

Explore Historic Downtown Rome from a seat on the Roman Chariots during a guided outing that focuses on a different block each month. A visit inside one of the block’s historic buildings offers a closer look at its past. The experience is presented by the Rome Area History Center and led by historian Selena Tilly. Tours depart from the Rome Area History Center’s front entrance. Capacity is limited to 10 people per tour. Tickets are $10.

Backyard BBQ Bash

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation brings back the Backyard BBQ Bash at Ridge Ferry Park, filling the day with barbecue tastings, friendly competition, and activities for all ages. Guests can purchase a $5 sampling bracelet, limited to one per person, and taste entries while supplies last. Parking is $5 per car and is card-only. The cook-off welcomes teams of any experience level, with entry fees starting at $50. Teams provide their own meat and receive four event T-shirts, four team wristbands, one sample bracelet, and a 20'x20' cooking site. Pre-registration closes before the event, and teams who register after the deadline may not be guaranteed event T-shirts. Two categories are judged, pork and chicken, with $300 awarded to first place and $200 to second place in each. An Overall Winner, determined by combined points from both categories and requiring participation in People’s Choice voting, receives $500. Prize amounts may change based on the number of participating teams. People’s Choice also recognizes the top three pork entries with trophies and public recognition, and guests can vote for their favorites. Beyond the cook-off, explore arts and crafts vendors and enjoy food trucks. Vendor spaces are available at 12'x12' for $50, 20'x20' for $75, or 30'x30' for $100. Where Romans Rest Tours

Step back in time with a touch of mystery on the Where Romans Rest tour at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. This guided walk highlights the notorious, the legendary, and the enigmatic figures connected to Rome’s most historic resting place. Hear stories stretching across more than 20,000 lives, including Civil War soldiers, political leaders, and even a First Lady. Admission is $10 per person. Paths can be uneven, so comfortable shoes and water are recommended, and strollers are not advised.

Etowah River Day Paddle with Generation Green

A day paddle with Generation Green, the young professionals group of the Georgia Conservancy, explores the Lower Etowah River. The route covers six miles between Hardin Bridge and Neel’s Landing, a beginner friendly segment with countryside views, easy shoals, and historic Native American fish weirs. It is intended for people who want to get outdoors, connect with peers who care about Georgia’s future, and enjoy a relaxed, active outing on one of northwest Georgia’s scenic rivers. Supported by Generation Green, the trip is free for participants ages 25 to 40 and includes boat and gear rentals along with shuttle service for the day. Participants should bring their own lunch, snacks, and water.

Amish Country Trip!

Set out on a bus getaway to Amish Country with a ride of about nine and a half hours to Millersburg, Ohio. The coach includes a restroom for comfort, and the plan includes a stop for lunch, with flexibility to pause at appealing shops along the way. Arrangements are in place with a tour guide in Berlin and a bus company to keep everything running smoothly. Accommodations are in a private lodge featuring 13 bedrooms, 7 full baths, and 4 half baths. There are 30 beds in total, including 18 bunks, so being able to use a top bunk is helpful. Hideaway beds can be added if needed, and sharing a room may be necessary. A queen bed in a single room is available for a couple. The trip cost is $1150 and includes lodging, two in-home breakfasts, guided backroads touring with a personal guide, visits with a basket maker and a broom maker, a home tour, and dinner with an Amish family in their home. Stops at Amish shops are planned, along with time at an outdoor flea market and antique stores. All required tips are covered. A group of 30 committed participants is needed. A deposit of $325 is required, followed by four additional payments of $206. All payments are nonrefundable. This is the organizer’s first destination trip, with hopes to offer more in the future.
