The Place at WestsideExplore Five Meditation Styles—and Learn to Practice Them on Your Own
Explore a five-week introduction to meditation that highlights a different approach each session and shows you how to continue on your own. The series covers breath-centered awareness, mindful movement and walking, simple sound and mantra practices, candlelight as a point of focus, and guided imagery inspired by nature. Each meeting is designed to be engaging and practical so you can cultivate steadiness, clarity, and calm in everyday life. No prior experience is required, only curiosity. In the first week, participants learn what meditation is and what it is not, then use the breath to steady attention and take home an easy technique for personal practice. The second week brings gentle movement and mindful walking to demonstrate how awareness can be developed through the body in daily routines. The third week introduces sound and repetition to settle mental noise and offers straightforward exercises you can revisit anytime. The fourth week applies soft visual concentration with candlelight to strengthen focus and ease, along with tips for practicing independently. The final week guides a sensory nature visualization to support relaxation, concentration, and emotional balance, with clear steps for self-led practice. Tuition is $99. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants, and reservations are required. Sessions take place at In The Hills Holistic Healing Hub in Rome, Georgia.
