Preschool STARS is a storytime for children ages 3 to 5 with a parent or caregiver. Each session features a focus letter, themed picture books and songs, and a simple craft or hands-on activity. After the structured portion, families may remain for free play. Activities support early growth in vocabulary and communication, thinking skills such as making connections and answering questions, awareness of letters and sounds, enjoyment of stories and early literacy, and practice with crafts, play, fine motor coordination, and social interaction.

The 30th Annual La Fiesta del Pueblo Tifton fills Fulwood Park with a welcoming celebration of Latino heritage, unity, and community pride. Designed as a gathering place for all ages, it highlights culture, education, and access to helpful services while supporting youth efforts and building strong community connections. Two stages anchor the festivities. On the central side at the Coca-Cola Stage, the day features a Parade of Flags, the Miss Fiesta and scholarship moment, performances by the ABAC Jazz Band and Cultura Latina Dancers, sets by Marca Distinta and Mariachi Los Arrieros, announcements with raffles, and an evening dance with Los Compas de Nuevo León. On the south side at the Truist Stage, the schedule includes the Parade of Flags, an opening program with local leaders and the national anthem by Giannella Carrera, Music Solutions with Harold E. Thomas and Curtis Nash, Cultura Latina Group, Noelio Cobon Group, Mariachi Los Arrieros, announcements and raffles, and a karaoke contest with on-site registration and a prize for the winner, followed by a nighttime dance with Banda Los Compas de Nuevo León. Children’s rides are available at no cost during the afternoon hours.

This is a cozy story time for children ages 0 to 5 with stories, music, and playtime. Designed for the youngest readers, it blends read aloud moments with music and time to play.

It is the final chance to register for the Scarecrows on Main contest in Downtown Tifton. This year’s theme invites storybook adventures, enchanted castles, beloved characters, magical lands, and happily-ever-after scenes as participants design their scarecrows. Registration is free and open to downtown businesses, families, churches, and businesses outside the district. Key milestones include installation before the display period, public viewing throughout October, Facebook voting during the first half of the month, and winners announced at the Tifton Farmers Market. Be sure to plan for removal by the stated deadline.
