Designed for keiki ages 6 to 11, this week-long Oʻahu camp from Hawaiʻi Nature Center offers a science-centered, tech-free immersion in the outdoors during school breaks, including summer. Guided by environmental educators, each day nurtures curiosity, encourages caring for the land, and helps children build a deeper connection to Hawaiʻi’s natural beauty through hands-on exploration. Activities include guided hikes, fishing, bug investigations, nature-inspired crafts, and field trips to local tide pools and wetlands. Campers learn about native plants and island ecosystems, practice mālama ʻāina, and grow confidence while forming new friendships in a safe, supportive setting. Schedules for Maui programs may differ.
