Fiber Crafts Club
Drop in for the Fiber Crafts Club at the library, where you can create, connect, and share your love of fiber crafts. Beginners and experienced crafters are welcome, and you can bring your own project to work on. There will be opportunities to get help and offer it while you spend the afternoon nurturing your creativity.

He began playing as a child in Chicago, Illinois and has grown into a versatile, charismatic musician fluent in classical, country, bluegrass, jazz, and Irish styles. His career includes appearances at the White House, the Grand Ol’ Opry, The Johnny Carson Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Farm Aid, along with tours alongside internationally known artists. He also performs with Weatherly-Wainwright with his wife, Jennifer Weatherly, and with the Maui-based Gypsy Pacific, and he has released solo albums that showcase selections close to his heart.

Legendary slack key guitarist Led Kaapana takes the spotlight in an evening of Hawaiian music and hula. Celebrated as a grandmaster of kī hō‘alu, he brings five decades of artistry on guitar and ‘ukulele along with his renowned falsetto singing, recognized with multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards and Grammy nominations. Raised in the musical traditions of Kalapana on Hawai‘i Island, he honors the roots of slack key while exploring new creative paths, sharing virtuosity, heartfelt stories, and aloha. The program is hosted by rising slack key talent Shem Kahawaii, with hula dancer Wainani Kealoha adding graceful choreography to the music. Expect cultural storytelling, expressive hula, and music that lifts the spirit. Tickets are also available at the door.
