The 2026 Tournament of the Month at Union Station Sports Bar & Grill features a season-long, points-based qualifier shaped by player feedback. Competitors earn points across events from January through November to secure a spot in the December finale. Entry for each tournament is $10 plus quarters. After November, the top 32 point earners qualify for the final tournament. The man and the woman leading the standings at that time each receive $100 when they appear for the finale. Points are tracked and posted monthly on the Wally’s Amusement Facebook page. This is a no Masters event with a race to 2 on both sides. Open women and open minor players are spotted one game. Boundaries Without Guilt: Protecting Your Energy & Communicating Your Needs

Many women often serve as the dependable helper who keeps everything running, saying yes more than they wish. Over time that pattern can leave little room for personal needs and make it challenging to decline requests or share limits without guilt. This guided workshop focuses on creating boundaries that protect energy, support emotional well-being, and bring more balance to everyday life. Participants identify the habits that make boundary setting tough, explore common reasons guilt shows up when saying no, learn clear ways to communicate needs and limits, and leave with practical tools for conserving energy. The session combines guided reflection, open discussion, and strategies that can be used right away. Expect to walk away with clearer insight into where boundaries can strengthen well-being and with words to communicate them confidently. All are welcome. Come as you are, and consider bringing a notebook or journal for reflection. The cost is $25, payable at the event. Presented by Stefanie Munsterman with The Spark Movement. Comedy

Comedy Night

Ideal Theater & Bar hosts a monthly stand-up showcase from Lucky Cat Comedy & Events, featuring a carefully selected mix of local, regional, and nationally touring comedians. This edition is led by Ann Arbor’s Zach Martina, a sardonic and assured performer who draws on personal stories to tackle everyday frustrations, often landing on the notion that the blame lies elsewhere. His outlook is shaped by a family saga fit for television, with parents who married and divorced each other three times, a brother who is both gay and a model, and two sisters who balance sweetness with spice, leaving him to play the so-called normal one. Martina’s appearances include Laughfest, Laugh Your Asheville Off, and The World Series of Comedy, and he has shared stages with Michael Kosta, Rory Scovel, Tommy Johnagin, Tom Segura, and Lachlan Patterson. A handpicked roster of standout local comics completes the lineup for an evening packed with laughs.

Meet Horror Author: Christopher Micklos | TICK TOWN

Meet horror author and filmmaker Christopher A. Micklos at Shady Character Books for a relaxed meet-and-greet and book signing centered on his first pulp horror novel, TICK TOWN. The tale plunges a small Midwestern vacation spot into chaos as huge mutated ticks turn the area into their feeding grounds, and Micklos frames it as a heartfelt salute to classic giant-insect cinema and the pulpy paperbacks and comics of the seventies and eighties. Acclaimed voices in horror have praised it as a lively return to the golden era of creature-driven scares, recalling the paperback hits that helped define the genre and the outbreak tales associated with authors like Guy N. Smith. Micklos is an award-winning filmmaker and a frequently published writer of horror-focused fiction and nonfiction, and he is based in Madison, Wisconsin.
