Peace Makers of North Central Iowa Quilt of Valor hosts a monthly sewing gathering at the Forest City Emergency Services Center. There is no requirement to cover the full three miles, so choose the distance that suits you. Instruction is provided by Joey Ringo. The cost is free for Y members and 15 dollars for non-members. Neal Simmons performs in the Commons area at Mason City Public Library as part of the Friday Live Music series, a rotating showcase that brings back familiar performers while also introducing new talent. Admission is free and the event is open to all.
