Personalize a 16 ounce glass cold cup at Midwest Blessed Boutique while learning to make two flavored syrups, vanilla and sugar cookie. In class, prepare two small-batch syrups, pour them into 4 ounce glass bottles, and finish each with a custom label. A recipe sheet is included so you can recreate the class flavors and try additional syrup ideas at home. Sessions take place at the Grout Museum and cover a wide range of topics, including Road Trip Across America, Great Games of History, Echoes of the Ice Age, American Folklore, Art in Americana, National Treasure, Inventions & Innovations, Puzzle Me This, Rewind, Tastebuds Through Time, and Space Race. Most camps are designed for ages 6 to 12, with American Folklore tailored to ages 6 to 9. Put teamwork to the test during Sturgis Falls weekend with a timed jigsaw challenge presented with The Nook and Reader's Cup. Teams of up to four race to complete a 500-piece puzzle as quickly as possible. Advance tickets are required through The Nook website, and each ticket covers one team and includes a puzzle to keep, two bags of mini donuts, and drinks for all teammates. Please be seated and ready ten minutes before the start. Tables and chairs are not provided, so bring your own setup or a blanket for puzzling on the ground. Space is limited, and tickets are nonrefundable. If inclement weather is expected, the competition will be moved indoors to The Nook and Reader's Cup, and registrants will receive updates.

CF Rock & Roll Revue returns to the Oster Regent Theatre for a Sturgis celebration and fundraiser now in its third year. Band members from the Cedar Falls High School classes of 1977 and 1978 will deliver a set of 1970s rock favorites, adding new songs to the mix with the possibility of guest musicians. The event honors graduating classes from recent years to decades past. Donations collected on site benefit the Cedar Falls Schools Foundation, supporting Music & the Arts Excellence Grants for student musicians and artists of all ages in Cedar Falls Schools.

Choose from 18, 22, or 45 mile routes, with the shortest heading to Janesville and back and the longest continuing on to Shell Rock after Janesville. The entry fee is $10 per rider, and proceeds support the I HOPE Chapter of AMBUCS, which provides adaptive tricycles to children and adults who cannot ride a standard two wheeled bicycle. Cedar Valley Lodge #233 presents its 2026 Disc Golf Tournament at Big Woods Disc Golf Course in Cedar Falls. Over the past three years, this event has generated more than $14,000 through sponsorships and donations, benefiting efforts such as genetic research for a Cedar Falls teen, the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, local mental health organizations, and Ronald McDonald House Charities. This year, proceeds will help launch a new education scholarship that supports current and former students from the Cedar Falls Community School District and surrounding communities who are pursuing higher education during the 2026–27 academic year. Sponsorships further the Odd Fellows commitment to education, a long-standing priority for the organization. Across Iowa, the Grand Lodge invests $30,000 or more each year in scholarships for Odd Fellows families and sponsors the Pilgrimage for Youth, a fully funded two week historical tour of the East Coast for high school students. Nationally, the Sovereign Grand Lodge has provided more than $3.5 million through its Education Endowment.

The annual CVC Century Ride begins at Overman Park in Cedar Falls and offers two distances. A 100-mile route will visit communities including Dike, Hudson, LaPorte City, Jesup, Gilbertville, Raymond, and Dewar, while a 60-mile option will cover many of the same towns. Final route details are still in the works and will be posted closer to the ride. Check-in takes place at Overman Park, and there will be a mass start. Riders who cannot begin at the park have options to join mid-route. Because the CF Farmer's Market starts that day, drivers should plan to use side-street parking such as 2nd or 3rd Street west of Overman Park. Registration will be available soon. The cost is $15 for non-CVC members and free for CVC members. This is a chance to log a final long ride before RAGBRAI, gauge training, aim for a new distance milestone, or enjoy a day of cycling with friends, with plenty of towns along the way for food and beverages.

Iowa Artists First Annual Art Retreat
A three day retreat at Waterloo Center for the Arts brings together artists for focused creativity. Iowa Region SCCA AutoX '26 Event #7 Hawkeye Tech
Iowa Region SCCA presents the seventh autocross points event of the 2026 season at Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo, hosted at the Hawkeye Community College Regional Transportation Training Center. Drivers of all experience levels can test their skills and their cars against the clock on a timed course. Pre-registration is required. The day includes tech inspection, registration check in, a mandatory driver’s meeting, a novice course walk, and competition runs. Permanent car numbers are in effect for the season, and participants will be contacted if a selected number is already assigned. Sound limits will be enforced, with vehicles required to measure no more than 100 dB at 50 feet.

Music Together
Music Together offers a research-grounded music and movement experience for children from birth through kindergarten and the adults who care for them. The curriculum supports emerging language, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional growth, while nurturing creativity, self-expression, and confidence. Classes are developmentally appropriate and focus on building basic music competence, helping little ones learn to sing in tune and move with accurate rhythm in a relaxed, playful setting. It is a family music class, with caregivers modeling joyful music-making as children participate in ways that suit them. Sessions feature award-winning songs, including selections from a variety of cultures, and explore a wide range of tonalities, genres, and meters, even asymmetric patterns, inviting plenty of singing, dancing, twirling, and jamming. Class size is limited to 12 enrolled children.

The second annual Hearst Art Supply Swap Meet at Red House Artist Studios welcomes community members to pass along gently used art and craft materials so they can find a new life in someone else’s project. Bring one item or a few you no longer use and trade for something you will, or make a goodwill contribution to support Hearst’s classroom programs and take part in the exchange. Supplies can be dropped off at Hearst during open business hours only. Suggested items include paints, brushes, markers, crayons, yarn, knitting and crochet tools, previously used canvases, frames and mats, paper, stamps and scrapbooking materials, ceramics and glass tools, quilting and sewing fabrics, and lighting or props used for painting. All donations should be usable and in good working condition, and organizers ask that expired or dried out supplies and common household recyclables like toilet paper tubes or egg cartons be left out. Alongside the swap, the sixth annual Artisans and Summer Expo brings local makers to the Hearst Sculpture Garden and galleries with artwork available to purchase and creative activities for all ages.
