Now in its 23rd year, Hap’s Cruisin’ Into The Sunset brings car, truck, and motorcycle enthusiasts to Sunset Marina in Rock Island for a relaxed cruise-in focused on conversation, food, scenic views, and rows of standout vehicles. Started by Hap as a small friends’ meetup, it has grown into a casual gathering without awards or judging, more of a cookout-style hangout for hot rod fans where people can connect and admire the machines. Expect a wide mix that can include Vipers, Corvettes, Henry Js, rat rods, Mustangs, Camaros, lowriders, race cars, 4x4s, fully restored classics, in-progress builds, and heavily modified rides. The event is independent of any single club and is open to everyone. Important guidelines: burnouts and alcohol are not permitted. Law enforcement will be on site and local traffic laws apply. The marina is city property, and following the rules helps keep the tradition going. Organizers are not liable for accidents, damage, or weather-related issues. Please be cautious, give others space when possible, and use good judgment throughout the day.

Riverssance Festival of Fine Art returns to Lindsay Park in the Village of East Davenport, Iowa, marking its 38th year as a signature arts celebration for the Quad Cities. Nearly 100 standout artists from across the greater Midwest will present their work, with the event guided by passionate art supporters. It is known for fostering artist success, partnering with the community, drawing committed buyers, and offering a scenic, welcoming atmosphere. Admission is $5 per adult per day or $8 for a weekend pass, and visitors under 18 receive free entry with a paid adult.

A pickle-packed celebration fills the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds and the Fair Center with free admission and a full slate of activities. Football fans can catch Iowa and Northern Iowa on the Done Right TV big screen in the Fair Center, and the Pickle Bar adds to the fun with a $2 pickle shot hour and pickle beers discounted from kickoff until halftime. More than a dozen vendors serve over 40 pickle-inspired bites, including twists like grilled cheese, popcorn, peanut butter and pickle sandwiches, a double smash burger, ice cream, energy drinks, corn dogs, pickles on a stick, beef jerky, tacos, fried pickles, nachos and egg rolls. Pickle beer comes from Exile, Adventurous, Twin Span and Bent River breweries. Presented with support from Kwik Star, IITI Group, Done Right TV and Smokin Mikes Sauce Co.
