Spencer Hospital’s Birth Center offers an in-person class designed to help expecting parents prepare for labor and birth, whether welcoming a first child or adding to their family. The session covers how labor progresses, comfort strategies, and pain management options that include massage, relaxation, breathing techniques, hydrotherapy, and medications. Participants have time to ask questions and address common myths about the birthing experience. The class also features a tour of the Birth Center and refreshments.

Designed for grades three through six, this fall art club features hands-on projects that change each month, including tie dye design, wearable clay jewelry, image transfer with mixed media, and handmade clay ornaments. The fee is $36 or $48.

Kids can set off on a spooky, yet playful, journey that winds through the Portside mezzanine, continues over the plank walk, and finishes downstairs where a treat waits in Nautical’s treasure chest. This activity is free and simply for fun. If mealtime is part of the plan, there is a Sunday special to consider... on Sundays, children eat free with the purchase of an adult meal at Nautical or with a 12-inch specialty pizza at Portside.
