Training focuses on the essentials of flying pole, including orbiting from the base, confident mounts, and managing momentum, then ties it together in a short, high-energy sequence. Wear snug-fitting shorts to prevent fabric from catching on the silicone surface and to help minimize the chance of light friction burns. Avoid oils and lotions on skin and hands. If a bit of moisture is helpful, apply a water or gel-based product such as Corn Huskers or aloe at least an hour before class. Do not use sticky grip products. Liquid chalk will be available.

Breathwork @Kota

Experience a guided breathwork session at Kota with instructor Melissa Eich. This dynamic two-phase breathing practice is designed to help clear built-up stress, stuck energy, and heavy emotions from the body, much like a demanding workout helps you break through limits. It supports deeper calm, quicker recovery, and a sharper connection to your body’s signals. Training your nervous system is part of training itself, and learning to regulate it can enhance performance and build capacity beyond what strength work alone can offer. Practicing in a focused group setting can make the effects even stronger, amplifying both release and renewal. All levels are welcome, and the class is free. It is well suited for those who train hard and want more complete recovery, who are interested in building nervous system resilience the way they build muscle, and who want a fresh challenge that leaves them feeling grounded and clear emotionally, mentally, and physically. Please bring a yoga mat, water, and a blanket or extra layers since temperature changes are common during breathwork. A journal is optional if you like to reflect afterward. Nonmembers can register through the class schedule, and Kota members can sign up in Wodify.
