Every session spotlights a new themed project taught by a local artist and welcomes beginners, so no prior experience is required. A kids class is now available. Iowa Region SCCA kicks off its 2026 autocross season with a points event at the Hawkeye Community College Regional Transportation Training Center. Drivers from novice to experienced levels can challenge their skills and their cars against the clock. Pre-registration is required. The day features tech inspection and registration check-in, followed by a mandatory driver meeting, a novice walk, and timed runs once the course opens. Permanent numbers will be used for the entire season, and if the number you choose is already taken, the organizer will reach out by email. Sound limits will be enforced, with vehicles not to exceed 100 dB measured at 50 feet.

Flora Design Studio hosts a weeklong Earth Day celebration with meaningful ways to connect with nature inside the shop. Children can enjoy free craft projects, and some additional activities will require a purchase. Visitors will find special deals on houseplants, plus a curated mix of Earth Day themed books and eco-friendly gifts. The shop features thoughtful items and simple ideas to help celebrate and care for the planet. Guests can browse, get creative, or soak up springtime inspiration with friends and family.
KWWL Health Fair
Cedar Valley residents can give back and get informed at the KWWL Health Fair. In partnership with LifeServe Blood Center, the event includes a community blood drive aimed at strengthening the local blood supply, and it offers health and wellness resources. Donate blood to help patients in need and ensure that hospitals have the blood products they need. Attendees can explore booths featuring local healthcare providers, wellness experts, and community organizations. All donors will receive a free reusable straw as a thank you.
