Raku Firing - Part 2

Experience a second session of raku firing at the ISU Student Union Building, next to the ISU Early Learning Center. The schedule is tentative, and pricing is 10 cents per cubic inch. Feeding the 5000 Families Progressive Dinner

This progressive dinner features appetizers at First United Methodist Church, continues with salad and a main course at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Caldwell Park building, and concludes with dessert at Central Christian Church. Vegetarian selections will be available. Funds raised benefit the Idaho Foodbank and will remain in Southeast Idaho. Admission is $15 per person, and there is no charge for children age 10 and under. Tickets can be obtained at the door or from the Idaho Foodbank.

ID Enhanced Concealed Carry Class at Sportsman's Warehouse POCATELLO, ID - 9AM to 6PM

This comprehensive, 8-hour course prepares participants for the Idaho Enhanced License to Carry Concealed Weapons. Instruction covers lawful carry and the appropriate application of force, core firearm safety, proper handling techniques, secure storage, and the Idaho specific requirements for obtaining the Enhanced permit. Hosted at Sportsman’s Warehouse Pocatello. Scheduling is subject to change.

LEAP into Leadership Community Challenge

Leadership Pocatello-Chubbuck and the Chamber host a community challenge devoted to developing Southeast Idaho’s future leaders. It features a relay competition that raises funds for scholarships supporting LEAP high school graduates as they continue on to college. Teams and sponsorship opportunities are available. Volunteers are also needed for a scavenger hunt component, helping guide participants as they race to complete tasks. Volunteer roles require availability for the entire event and comfort working outdoors in a high energy, semi chaotic environment. Proceeds benefit the LEAP Student Scholarship program. Free Community Electronic Waste Recycling Drop Off Event

Clear out unwanted or broken electronics at a free community drop off hosted by eCyclers of Idaho in collaboration with Idaho National Laboratory. The event takes place at the ISU Pond Student Center and is open to the general public at no cost. Staff will assist with unloading and sorting, then securely wipe data and repurpose, reuse, or dismantle items for responsible recycling. Accepted items include TVs, phones, laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and other household electronics and appliances, whether they contain batteries or not. eCyclers of Idaho follows R2v3 certified data sanitation and responsible recycling practices, and all data containing devices are securely wiped or destroyed.

An eight-week seminar offers compassionate support for adults mourning the death of a loved one. SE Idaho Days Festival & Parade

A free admission community festival at the Bannock County Event Center celebrates Southeast Idaho with food trucks and unique vendors. The festivities open with the Star Spangled Banner and a free potato bar for the first 50 attendees, then roll into playful Redneck Games that include a hub cap toss, three legged races, redneck horseshoes, a tractor tire heavy pull, and fun contests for beards, mustaches, mullets, and big hair. A kids bike and walking parade follows the dirt paths and leads to the main stage, an inflatable carnival, and a petting zoo presented by SRD's Traveling Animals featuring more than 16 species. More than ten inflatables are available throughout the event with a wristband. Expect live performances on the stage, free entry contests and a talent show, Power Wheels races for children, and plenty of prizes. Highlights also include Snake River New Horizon's Band, a free RC car track on dirt and grass for those who bring their own RC vehicles, the petting zoo for 2 dollars, a set by Chuck G known as The Irish Magic Guy, and a watermelon eating contest. NAMIWalks Pocatello brings the community together for a 5K loop starting at Bonneville Park. An opening ceremony sets the tone before participants head out on the route and celebrate at the finish. Chamber Gala

An elegant evening awaits with live jazz, a carefully prepared dinner, a wine pull, and a spirited dessert dash. Candlelight Gala: Piano with Cahill Smith

Experience a candlelit gala at the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center, created as a parents’ night out centered on the piano. The evening features a reception with light bites followed by a performance by pianist Cahill Smith, all set in a warm, glowing atmosphere. General gala admission is $40 and includes both the reception and the concert. A VIP patron option is $80 and provides preferred seating along with the reception and concert. Optional on-site childcare is available for $40 per family for up to two children, with infants not eligible. Children must be potty trained, a parent must remain in the building, and space is limited. Ages 3 to 5 will be in the Black Box, and ages 6 to 12 will be in the Bistline. Gems 2026 - Pre-College Finals

Finalists from the 2026 GEMS Piano Competition perform the concluding rounds at the Stephens Performing Arts Center, Jensen Hall. The program features divisions including Primary, Elementary, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, and Advanced 1 and 2. Two award ceremonies will recognize participants during the event, highlighting achievement alongside performance. The focus is on dedication and artistry as competitors share their music.

Reaper's Den Shoothouse Championship

Step into a close-quarters airsoft championship inside Reaper’s Den’s indoor shoothouse in Pocatello, Idaho. Competitors run a course with 24 total targets, including 14 armed hostiles and 10 no-shoots placed in tight angles and corners. Hitting a no-shoot adds a 15-second penalty, so quick decisions and precise shots are essential. Each participant gets two qualifying runs and the best time counts. A finals bracket follows for top performers, with tiebreakers as needed. A live leaderboard tracks the action, and arena games extend the experience beyond the shoothouse. Early arrivals can receive one complimentary warm-up run. Top finishes earn gear prizes. First place receives a Lancer Tactical W10 Widowmaker Gen 4 M4 with a GATE Aster MOSFET, tightbore barrel, ambidextrous controls, and blacked-out WAG styling. Second place takes a WE Tech Hi-Capa Hyper Speed gas blowback pistol with full-auto capability. Third place is awarded a VISM NcSTAR tactical vest with ANSI-rated goggles and a full-face mask. Ref Recognition Awards highlight best sportsmanship and fair play, and door prizes are offered during the event. A Balloon Shoot side game runs alongside the main competition for $1 per shot. Difficulties are adjusted for participants 12 and under, and once a balloon is popped the side game is complete for that player. Entry is $40 when prepaid or $50 at the door. Admission includes two qualifying attempts, access to the finals bracket if you advance, and event-wide activities. Gun rentals are available for $20. Pulled pork sandwiches will be available for purchase. Limited spots and high stakes set the tone throughout.

2026 Ft. Hall Replica Opening Celebration

Case Hit Promotions presents a card show at Mountain View Event Center that brings together Pokemon and sports card fans under one roof. The floor features 90 tables with vendors from across Idaho and neighboring states, offering a wide variety of cards and collectibles. General admission is $5 for ages 16 and up, and children 15 and under are free. Free parking is available. Early access is offered with a $10 prepayment. Vendors will find limited table availability at $125 for an 8-foot table or $95 for a 6-foot table, plus complimentary lunch, WiFi, and parking, along with nationwide promotion.

SOLD OUT Dinosaur Dig Volunteer Training

This session is sold out. This one-day field experience visits eastern Idaho to explore areas rich in dinosaur fossils, with hands-on instruction in prospecting and work at an active quarry. It is intended for teens and adults seeking training in paleontology field techniques to volunteer in the field with IMNH in the future. No previous experience is required. The cost includes transportation, instruction, and meals at the site. Participants must bring their own camping gear and cover meals while traveling to and from the site.

Trilobite Hunting

Set out with museum paleontologists for a hands-on fossil hunt centered on the trilobites that once lived on Idaho’s ancient seafloor. Search 500 million year old rocks near Bear Lake, learn field techniques for spotting fossils, and keep some of what you find. Designed for ages 12 and up, this one day camp costs $150 and includes all tools, instruction, and transportation from Pocatello. Space is limited and registration is required. Museum members receive a 10 percent discount.

Aaron Ball Band Live at Idaho State University

The Aaron Ball Band brings its award-winning, internationally traveled sound to Idaho State University with a charged blend of Americana, Southern rock, and alternative Red Dirt country. Known for sharp storytelling, dry wit, and passionate stage presence, the group has toured across the United States and overseas, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the Caribbean, and has performed alongside leading rock and country artists. This high-energy, community-minded performance takes place on the Quad.

Gift of Life Walk/Run

The Gift of Life Walk/Run at Portneuf Wellness Complex brings the community together to support organ, eye, and tissue donation, along with living donors, recipients, and their families. Individuals, teams, families, and pets on a leash are welcome to take part. Expect music and light refreshments, a brief program, prize drawings, and a silent auction. Idaho's Sea Monsters

Ages 14 and up can spend a day with museum scientists investigating what life was like in the savage ancient seas of the Triassic Period. This one day camp explores eastern Idaho in search of ammonites, fish, and elusive marine reptiles like ichthyosaurs. All tools and training are provided, and transportation is included from Pocatello. Participants may keep some of the ammonites they find. The cost is $150. Space is limited and registration is required. Museum members receive a 10% discount.

Firecracker Frenzy Fun Run

Bonneville Park hosts the third race in the 2026 Portneuf Valley Fun Run Series, a family friendly run with 2.5k, 5k, and 10k distance options. Advance registration is available, and participants may choose to take part in a single race or complete the entire series.

Idaho's Tyrannosaur Hunt

Idaho paleontologists are heading into rock formations near the Montana border to search for fossils from Tyrannosaurus and its close relatives Albertosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Participants ages 14 and up can assist by adding fresh eyes to terrain that has not previously been surveyed by scientists, contributing to ongoing research on Idaho’s dinosaurs. The cost is $150 and includes all tools, training, and transportation from Pocatello. The experience centers on learning how to prospect effectively and sharing discoveries with the research team.

Fossil Prep Camp

Geared to ages 16 and up, this single-day program introduces teens and adults to the fundamentals of preparing fossils in a museum laboratory setting. The experience features a tour of the museum and its collections, along with guided, hands-on work on real fossils in the paleontology lab. Participants also learn about volunteer opportunities at the museum for those interested in continuing their training and preparing more fossils at the IMNH. The cost is $100. Space is very limited because of the lab’s size, and museum members receive a 10% discount.
