Ribbon Cutting
An official ribbon cutting hosted by the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce honors Bunnie Bakes, a local cottage bakery offering gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan baked goods so more people across Southeastern Idaho can enjoy a sweet treat. The gathering includes an opportunity to meet the owner and learn more about the growing business as it becomes part of the Chamber community. Open to Chamber members, friends, family, and community supporters.

IMNH paleontologists and paleobotanists lead a hands-on excavation focused on plants from the age of dinosaurs. Participants age 14 and up will work at a rare Idaho fossil site that preserves the vegetation that surrounded the region’s dinosaurs during the time of Oryctodromeus. The experience focuses on opening a quarry and carefully uncovering uncommon plant fossils that contribute to understanding this ancient ecosystem. All tools are provided, training is included, and transportation is covered from Pocatello. The cost is $155, museum members receive a 10% discount, and space is limited so registration is required.
Idaho Museum of Natural HistoryRiver Concert Series
The River Concert Series brings live music to the Greenbelt Stage with no admission cost, presented with support from title sponsors Teton Toyota and Teton Volkswagen. This installment features Lil' Red performing classic rock. The season offers a broad mix of styles, including Celtic, jazz, big band, bluegrass, country rock, and country, with groups such as Teton Skye, 40 Somethin' Band, East Idaho Community Band, 22nd Street Jazz, Jazz House Big Band, Pre Dawn Flight, Mountain Strings Bluegrass, Abstract Class, High Desert Heathens, Olivia Rose, and the Mike Banks Jazz Quartet appearing across the lineup.
Summer Art Club
A weekly, one-hour studio for ages 12 to 14 invites junior high artists to draw, paint, experiment with mixed media, and use art history as a springboard for creativity. Led by Madison Hoagland, an Idaho State University Honors Program student with experience teaching in the summer program at Grace Lutheran School, this session blends guided projects with open studio time in a supportive setting. Participants can grow their skills, explore new materials, and connect with other young creatives. The program runs throughout the summer months. Pricing is offered through punch cards, with a four-class option at $60 for members or $80 for nonmembers, and a two-class option at $30 for members or $50 for nonmembers. A youth membership costs $15 per year, and siblings receive a 10 percent discount.
