Area youth can earn IMPACT hours toward Sauk Valley Community College or fulfill service requirements for school programs. Coleta Sportsmens Club hosts its annual Family Fun Day and Kids Fishing Derby, a public celebration with no admission cost. The Kids Fishing Derby returns with a catch and release format, and participants are asked to use barbless hooks. Registration is required for children to be eligible for prizes. Every child who completes registration by the deadline receives a prize, and there is also a prize drawing later in the day.
