At its center is the story of Marek Terpiński, who has lived with a brain tumor for thirteen years. Magdalena Gałecka vel Mitrza shares original paintings and handcrafted pieces that dwell on the body, memory, emotion, and space. Born in Chełm, Poland, she earned her degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Rzeszów, studying painting with Professor Tadeusz Gustaw Wiktor, and she continued to refine her voice after moving to the United States in 2003. Through layered surfaces, a restrained palette, and partially concealed figures, the work balances presence and absence, strength and vulnerability, and intimacy and distance, leaving room for personal reflection.
